I like this torch, unlike most of my other 'tactical' torches, this one is nice and slim, slim enough to keep in a coat pocket. It may be 15cm long but will still fit in most coat pockets. I live by the coast and regularly go on walks at night so always keep a torch in my pocket just in case I need it; this torch fits nicely in my gortex jacket. The rorch is made from blue coloured anodised aluminium and differs from most tactical torches in that it has a mechanical on/off switch on the end that turns the bulb on to full power and a secondary button on the side that also acts as an on/off (providing the main one is on) and holding it down cycles through the hi/med/lo power levels. There is no red light or flashing on this torch which is a ggodthing as far as I'm concerned. Instead there are two silicon hoods (an orange one and a white one) that slip over the end of the torch and can be used as beacons - a good idea...providing you remember to take them with you! The torch is very bright on full power. The rechargeable battery is a 1600mahARC14100P Type C - I havent seen this type of battery before (its the size os 2 x AAs end to end) and has a USB port at the positive end so to charge the torch you have to take the battery out - theres no charging indicator on the battery which is a bit annoying as you dont appear to be able to tell when its charged. At £30 its not cheap and I would maybe say a bit over priced.

Great flashlight for every day use with enough spill that you can use it up close and enough throw that you can light up a foot path while taking a walk at night. The included diffusing ends make it great as well when using to light up a room if your in the attic or other places where you need light and your hands free as it works great if you leave it hanging out your pocket or on top of your cap with the reversible clip.

Great flashlight, super tight beam and accepts a pair of AA cells, it comes with it's own easily recharged battery which makes it easy to live with.

The higher candela of the blue model really transforms the TAC2 from a great light to an outstanding one. Very well made and ergonomic. I'd recommend to anyone.

Stopped working after a few months. Total time spent on is no more than an hour. Not reliable, do not buy

Ich habe nach einer Taschenlampe gesucht, die schlank genug für die Hosentasche ist (EDC), aber mehr Power hat als die typischen kleinen Schlüsselbund-Lampen. Die ACEBEAM TAC 2AA hat meine Erwartungen komplett übertroffen. Es ist kaum zu glauben, wie viel Licht aus diesem schlanken Gehäuse kommt. Meine Highlights: Die Helligkeit (1400 Lumen): Wenn man den mitgelieferten Akku nutzt, ist die Lichtausbeute brachial. Der "High"-Modus leuchtet den ganzen Garten oder dunkle Waldwege problemlos aus. Für eine Lampe, die kaum dicker ist als ein Edding, ist das technisch beeindruckend. Geniales Akku-Konzept (Dual Fuel): Das war für mich der Hauptkaufgrund. Die Lampe kommt mit einem speziellen Lithium-Akku (der sogar einen eigenen USB-C Ladeanschluss hat – sehr praktisch, man braucht kein extra Ladegerät!). Aber im Notfall kann man einfach zwei normale AA-Batterien aus dem Supermarkt einlegen. Zwar hat sie dann weniger Leistung, aber man steht im Notfall niemals im Dunkeln. Das ist für Prepper oder auf Reisen Gold wert. Bedienung & Haptik: Der Heckschalter (Tailswitch) hat einen tollen Druckpunkt. Die Bedienung ist stressfrei: Man muss kein "Morse-Diplom" haben, um sie zu bedienen. Sie startet zuverlässig. Das Gehäuse ist extrem griffig (Knurling) und rutscht auch bei Nässe nicht aus der Hand. Design: Sie sieht sehr "taktisch" und wertig aus. Der Clip ist stabil und hält die Lampe sicher an der Hosentasche oder am Rucksack. Wichtiger Hinweis: Auf der höchsten Stufe wird der Kopf der Lampe bauartbedingt recht schnell warm. Das ist bei 1400 Lumen auf so kleinem Raum physikalisch normal und zeigt, dass die Wärmeableitung funktioniert. Mich stört es nicht, da ich den Turbo-Modus meist nur kurz nutze. Fazit: Wer eine robuste, extrem helle und flexible Lampe sucht, die man dank AA-Kompatibilität überall auf der Welt betreiben kann, kommt an der ACEBEAM TAC 2AA nicht vorbei. Qualität 1A. Excelente, una linterna de muy buena calidad, merece la pena gastar un poco más, yo la uso a nivel profesional y no decepciona, en modo turbo no tiene mucha duración pero es demasiada intensidad para un trabajo, en campo sobra con una intensidad menos, y con las juntas toricas aguanta perfectamente la lluvia y una caída a un rio. La he comprado en azul y verde.

Absolutely awesome flashlight. I can shine this flashlight down a city block and see all of the cars on both sides of the street. That's how powerful it is.
