Glorious & stunning! The perfect accompaniment to my matching tea infuser.
I am lucky enough to own the matching tea infuser mug that comes in this range and this set of 4 embossed tea cups is yet another great example of a manufacturer who clearly loves the products they make. The set of cups are handle-less which gives them that more authentic Japanese look and feel. It does mean however that you need to be a little careful when they are first used as the ceramics do heat up when used with boiling water. Obvious pointer aside, there really is nothing to fault or dislike here at all. When you first open the box here, you can immediately tell you are holding something a bit special. The cups themselves are high quality and hand finished and feature a beautiful two tone colour scheme of muted green and black. The mountain and sea scape scene that runs the circumference of each cup is glorious to view and the design protrudes slightly giving it an almost 3D feel. These cups always manage to put a smile on my face and I have an additional sense of peace and calm when using them. I think it comes from the ritual of making the team itself but I do believe the design of these cups stands out over your bog standard ordinary tea mug and adds a little of that inner peace too. I would be more than happy to recommend these to anyone. Take a look at the matching range if you haven't already done so yet - It's exquisite. A simply brilliant set of cups priced more than fairly for the craftmanship you are getting!

Better than expected
Japanese, you say? They seem more Chinese to me, especially in the representation of clouds and the colouring. But either way you dub it, they're just a really nice set of teacups. Solid, really well made and decorated very nicely. I rather looked twice at the price, but they're worth it.These aren't Asian-ish cups for people dabbling in tea. Rather, they're proper teacups that even my very fussy Taiwanese wife deems "okay, I suppose". I've never heard her gush so much. They are thick enough to hold heat, small enough to fit your hand, pretty enough to show off to guests. And they come very nicely packaged in a box that protects them in postage, so you can gift them without fear. I really, really like these... and my wife deems them "acceptable".

Cozy, stylish tea time
They look even better in flesh - high quality ceramic that's glazed and embossed beautifully. Didn't know what to expect but they are great size (240ml) for stronger teas, and if no handle bothers you - there are versions with it.At £6ish pounds per cup, it is great value for a ceremonial tea drinking session. It does sort of need the matching tea pot and the bamboo tray, though, so consider getting a set instead!

Stunning
These are absolutely stunning tea cups! I am so impressed with them. I have had my eye on this style of tea cups, no handles for tea for a while. They lived up to my expectations and more, the design of them are beautiful and in keeping with the oriental design. These are best hand washed to ensure they keep their design and integrity, they are simple to clean and actually are fairly stackable which makes it great when storing them.Highly recommend! Beautiful!
