Not what I ordered
I ordered this item from my buy it again list but when it arrived it was a different brush to the one I ordered previously. The hole is not big enough so we will have to drill it to make it fit.

Works as expected.
Had to drill the hole larger to fit my old brush but it fit and wasn't much hassle to fit.

Good value
My husband had to make the hole a bit bigger but it was very easy. It does the job really well, I'd recommend it.

It seems that pure chance governs whether you get 6mm holes or 8mm holes in your brush heads so you need to be prepared to use y
Mindful of the reviews I'd read, when my replacement brush heads arrived I checked that they were the right size. 8mm holes and 8mm shaft, smugness abounds! There was still wear left in the old brush head so I put the new ones away in a 'safe place' until a year later. With about a centimetre of bristle left, I decided it was time to change the head. Unfortunately 'safe places' have the magical property that you can never remember where they are (I still can't find the first brush heads) so I ordered two more of the same from the same supplier. When they arrived they had 6mm holes so I had to drill them out. It seems that pure chance governs whether you get 6mm holes or 8mm holes in your brush heads so you need to be prepared to use your wall plugs or drill to make them fit or you might get lucky like I did the first time. After that minor inconvenience they're fine and, as a previous reviewer said, "a brush is a brush, what more can you say".

Would buy again when needed.
Was just right for our needs.

Expensive
Expensive for what you get. Could buy a complete brush including metal staff much cheaper

Does the job - shame about the hole!
I really enjoyed reading the reviews on this brush-head - especially the variety of solutions people came up with to get round the problem that the pre-drilled hole seems to be larger than the metal handle most of us want to insert into it!I'm happy to join the nerd-list by suggesting my 10-second solution which was to jam a large wall-plug into the hole and screw the handle into that. Seems fine so far!

Manor Hearth Brush Head Round
The thread on my brush was 6mmBut it would work with a 8mm thread too most likelyWhat you need to do is unscrew the brush handlethen put a nut inside the middle of the bristles... the right size of the thread on the handle and then do it up!(There is already a hole in the middle of the brush head - right through)SO DON'T USE A DRILL
