Men's G-Shock Analog-Digital Watch GA-100C-8ACR, Grey/Neon Blue

During my time with this watch I went ahead and put it through the test. Just after receiving the watch you immediately realize that its not normal as you can't just pull the nob and set the time. For those who are "to big for instructions" can go ahead and not buy this watch. The instructions state you hold the upper left side, then press the lower right which will give you a "home town" so for those to lazy to look up the 3 digit code for a home town just use your phone then on the lower left digital output for the time and the watch will set itself. The watch is defiantly waterproof. I've showered with this watch and it's worked perfectly. I left it in the bottom of my sink for the first day I had it and it passed. So don't worry about it leaking The light on this watch works perfect at night (so long as your smart enough to read a analog watch[for those not smart enough to know it means it's the big hand and small hand on a watch which is becoming a lost art to read.]) the light illuminates the hands perfectly and for some it's a short time but to myself it is enough to check and move on. This is such a good watch that I can't get past the fact that it's durable enough to put up with working on cars, working in a restaurant, and on computers. The watch itself is thicker than most and it's quite nice. For those looking to get a watch for working, hardly taking it off, and knowing it's gonna last is great. I personally have mine to show the date, day, and my analog time.

The G-Shock was a great fit. The size is also good; it’s not too heavy or too light. It’s strong and can handle any liquid. It’s a good value for the price.

Great watch

The reflectivity of the digital display is difficult to read in low light. Funny enough, it's easier to read the digital part of the display with assistance of the built in orange LED. If you hit the light button and put 2 fingers at a 45degree angle at the top of the watch, you can read the digital display easier than you can during sunset hours. Overall this watch is solid, and has all the features you expect out of a Casio G-Shock watch. I even tested it's water resistance while free diving. At 40 feet down in the Gulf of Mexico, multiple times, there was no indication of water damage. Very solid product, and for a G-Shock, it does bring up conversations, "Nice watch", and "Where did you get that" type stuff. I would recommend this watch for people that are outdoors a lot, whether for work or recreation. Very Durable, with a touch of class (thanks to the hand design).

Tried this Casio with Prime’s “try before you buy” and, man, it’s a stunner! Super masculine vibe, though a bit big for my wrist. The best part? Those light-colored hands pop against the dark background, making it easy to read even in pitch-black darkness with the backlight. Unlike others in the same model line, this one’s actually legible at night. 100% recommend. This classic ain’t going out of style anytime soon.

7 year update: WOW!!! Seven years!! I had to trace this review to update it. See below for original. I busted this watch…the watch did NOT break. I tried to replace the battery myself…busted the seal in the process and flooded it swimming. Damn it! Oh well….bought the exact same watch, but with the white hands instead of teal. See you another 5 years lol [original 5 year review]. I have worn this watch almost exclusively for over five years. I do not baby this watch. It is tough and reliable. I expose it to salt water regularly and am in the desert heat and sand with it without issue. Each one of my kids has used it as a teething toy and has thrown it around the house without issue. To bring it back looking like new, all you need to do is rinse it off. It is super comfortable and, at this point, I am convinced that it is indestructible. I love the aesthetics of it and am having a really hard time shopping for a new watch, because I keep going back to this one. Yes, the light on it sucks. You won’t see anything other than the hands at night with only the watch light. Quite frankly, I’ve never needed more than the time at night. All the other functions are great, but for my needs I pretty much just use the current time and date. (Do I really need a compass, barometer, altimeter, heart rate monitor etc, that would cost me another $500? Not really.)

Great watch overall, looks amazing and I get compliments on it all the time. Only downside like mentioned by others, the digital display is extremely difficult to read even in daylight and next to impossible to read at night even with the light. The single orange led light from the bottom of the dial face doesn't do a very good job of lighting up the dial. Other than that, the watch is fantastic. Fairly lightweight despite the size, the silicone material is soft and comfortable to wear all day to the point I forget I have it on. The quality is amazing, I've worn it swimming numerous times with zero issues. The aesthetic is great. The watch is quite large, but the dark almost charcoal grey body and band is nicely contrasted by the light blue analog hands which makes reading the time very easy. It's a very subtle look with a perfect little pop of colour. It took a few minutes of reading the user manual to configure everything but was easy enough to do. Overall, I highly recommend the watch if you're looking for something rugged that functions well and looks great at the same time.

Great fitting watch with very readable time! Definitely high quality! The light is orange and looks really cool. It fits great and doesn't pinch any skin. The face of the watch looks really cool. The hands are light blue and they look great. This watch isn't heavy at all with us nice. This watch is also really durable and waterproof. I go swimming with it all the time and have no problems.

I brought this back on 2016 - i contacted the supplier as the watch stopped working. I believe it is to be the battery. I have tried to contact the seller and have got no where! Also amazon have been really unhelpful - I now have to send the watch back to casio which is going to cost me £50.00 to replace! as Amazon have not been helpful nor the seller! Would not recommend.
