Buy it now..... infact buy all the Depeche Albums now.
I had never listened to the early DM albums until very recently. I had everything from Violator onwards. I went to see them at Birmingham in January and they were fantastic. It was after this I decided to have a listen to the early albums which for years I must admit passed of as throwaway pop....... how wrong was I they are as good as the later albums that I love so much. I can honestly say that in my humble opinion these guys have never made a bad record. Buy them all and the 180gm vinyl is great.

The start of something special
The album that made me fall in love with Depeche Mode over 30 years ago. So good to hear it on this new heavyweight vinyl release. The artwork (courtesy of Brian Griffin's wonderful photography) is first class, colours much sharper than the original release that I have from '82. Clearly, this series of re-issues have been given the 5-star treatment that they deserve. I class this release and the two albums that followed it as the 'holy trinity' of Mode albums - a gritty, industrial soundtrack of early-mid 80's Britain.

HD Audio
Just technical facts for those who care about this sort of stuff:Like many of the Depeche Mode CD+DVD releases, the music tracks on the DVD are recorded in DTS 96/24 (5.1) and LPCM Stereo 24 bit 48KHz. They all sound brilliant. This particular release is that bit more special as the CD is actually a Hybrid SACD. Awesome :o)
