Awesome for the money

The DEERC Apache RC Helicopter deserves a medal. Out of the graveyard of remote-control helicopters we’ve bought over the years, this one actually survived longer than a single weekend. In our house, that’s basically the RC equivalent of breaking a world record. My son immediately decided this wasn’t just a helicopter—it was his personal military-grade torture device for the dog. Picture it: a chopper hovering two inches above the dog’s head, blades whirring, while the poor pup looks like he’s about to call PETA himself. But wait, it gets better. The helicopter’s true “stress test” came when my son turned our living room into an obstacle course. He attempted to slalom between expensive electronics, houseplants, and—because why not—lit candles. Nothing says “family fun” like watching a toy helicopter narrowly miss setting the curtains on fire while zigzagging past the flat-screen TV. Shockingly, the Apache held its own. Sturdy, responsive, and apparently built to survive teenage chaos, canine warfare, and near-arson attempts. Final verdict: 5 stars for durability, 10 stars for entertainment value, and minus a few points for the emotional trauma inflicted on the dog. Would I buy it again? Absolutely—though I may also invest in flame retardant.

Got this for my 8yo son for his birthday. He was able to fly it the first day with a few instructions and practice. Flies great, way better than any other heli we've had in the past for my other boys. Gave 4 stars because the bottom propellor wants to fall off when it crashes into something. But it's easy to put back on.

After a few flights the bottom rotor stopped spinning making it so it couldn’t fly. Normally these things will last quite awhile and a built to withstand minor crashes, but this one we didn’t get crash it, it just stopped working on the second flight. These should be built to withstand drops of 10ft or more in my opinion. The battery weighs to much and I prefer the ones that have built in batteries to recharge.

This is a highly precision remote control helicopter. It is easy to master in just a few minutes. Its hovering capability is the best of a fleet of helicopters I own. Super responsive to control inputs. L

I have been flying helicopters for several years now. I don't consider myself an amature but good intermediate pilot I have flown many types of 3&4 channel types. Lots of learning done here crashing and repairing etc. I find these small stable 3ch are so fun to fly inside especially in winter and windy nasty days. I burned up my 911 wltoys helis they were fun to but no gyros or stabilizing like these newer ones. The Apach3 DEERC is a blast. I love scaring a couple of the cats the other two try to catch it that's challenging even kinda fun too.

The motor that allows the helicopter to move forward and backward is very weak. All other functions seem to work fine.

Easy to fly especially with that "altitude hold" n that one button press landing. Crashed it a few times and still holding up which is always good

Overall, my child really enjoyed this helicopter. It has a smooth flight and is easy to control, which makes it suitable for kids. The body is plastic, so a hard crash can potentially damage the helicopter, and it should be flown with some care. As a toy, it is completely acceptable and kids can have a great time playing with it. With a full charge, it runs for about 20 minutes, and having two batteries is a nice bonus. Charging time for each battery was around 3 hours.
