When the pieces are cut with scissors, the edges have many threads that separate and unwind. The rolled up edge is somewhat tight, but it still opens up and loosens when rubbed against surrounding objects. I got techflex dura wrap with velcro instead, I like that more.

So far, I am very satisfied with this product.The cable management sleeve arrived in a StarTech product resealable bag. The sleeve its self is easy to use and easily trimmable to size. When trimming to a desired length, I would recommend to do it over a dust bin or have a vacuum ready for clean-up. To prevent the freshly cut ends from continuous fraying, "seal" them with concentrated high heat or flame- e.g. cigarette lighter, matches, etc. - (and don't breath the fumes).The sleeve keeps its shape (without the aid of any internal "velcro") even when cycled under a sit-stand desk. Currently using two sleeve sections (cut down from the original 4.6 m sleeve), without any major issues - one about 8-ish feet (2.4 m) long and the other 3-ish feet (0.9 m). Each sleeve section houses 5 to 6 cables - e.g. power cable, network/ethernet/patch cables and various USB-type cables - plus a build-up of cable ties, which adds to the overall diameter of the wire bundle.If needed, I won't hesitate to order more in the future.
