Great quality. Definitely has a place on your deck, but buy it on sale if possible.
I got this thing for half-off during a sale that I happened across while browsing through my wish list one night out of sheer boredom. That being said, I am happy with my buy, but wouldn't have been had I paid full price. I am not an Iron Chef by any means, but I am not stranger to the grill either and I just find this thing to be a bit inconvenient for some of the foods I like to cook. My biggest issue with this is that it gets crazy hot and there is no way to adjust the distance between the disc and the burner. Even with the flame on low it is crazy hot.For certain foods this thing is great (fajitas, hashed browns, hot dogs, sausage links, full bag of bacon etc,) but due to the concave shape and severe heat other foods are a bit problematic (pancakes, scrambled eggs, for example). Again, part of this may be just me trying to adjust to the equipment (is does take some getting used to), but these are my thoughts after several cookouts. One thing worth mentioning is that it is not wise to leave this thing unattended. You definitely have to stay alert and keep the food moving else it will burn in no time. Steaks can be cooked on this unit as well, but you must pay attention at all times. Also, clean up is a bit more tedious than with a standard grill. If you are cooking greasy foods it collects in the bottom so it has to be drained since this is a solid surface. Also, you will have to pour water in the disc afterwards, boil it and scrub to ensure that the surface is properly cleaned. Then, before storing, it will need to be wiped with a thin coating of cooking oil to prevent rust. Now, the positives are rather numerous as well (Portability being the biggest one); which is why I gave it 4 stars. It is also a very well-built unit and compliments any deck. Couple this with the FireDisc cover and you have a combination that will last for years. Overall all this is a solid product that is definitely worth consideration if you can find it on sale. I just feel that it is a bit over-priced otherwise.

Favorite new cooking toy!
After seeing our nephew cook up breakfast for 30 people on this, my husband wanted to try it out. It was great for a socially-distanced, outdoor summer, because he could cook everything on one surface outside and serve right from it without concern if we had a couple of people over for outside eating. Awesome for burgers, fried rice, wings, fajitas, scrambled eggs with bacon -- anything you would cook in a frying pan or wok and even on a grill has so far turned out great on this. We also love how portable it is (although it is heavy), as the stand folds up almost flat. We debated between the shorter version and this one and so far are happy with our choice -- just be sure to get the baffle (I think that's what it's called) to protect the flame from wind. We also like having the cover on it for storage or when taking it camping. This was a good purchase. Highly recommend.

It's an OKAY cooker. I wish I opted for something else.
What I like about Firedisc would be the substantial build. It's actually a bit overbuilt. The leg/stand is the best feature of this cooker IMO. For me, the pan is too heavy a gauge for the burner supplied. Also the coating covering the outside of the pan is a waste as the bottom burns away during seasoning tempertures and only serves as a hindrance later. I would have preferred an uncoated disk that I could maintain myself. As a cooker it performs... Okay. Not really worth the cost IMO. Company should include the burner jacket with purchase. That's a ridiculous accessory price for 4 pieces of sheet aluminum held together with pins. If I was thinking of buying something similar, I'd probably purchase a better uncoated disk from southwestdisk.com and purchase a camp chef single burner like the PRO 30x. As much as I did like the firedisc 's stand an outdoor burner like camp chef's offers more versatility for cookware options. Another discada cooker package option i would consider OVER the FIREDISC would be from disc-it.com.

Great cooker for camping
My only complaint is that there is not an unregulated control valve to use with RV low pressure outlets. This is very well made and cooks a million things at once. I would buy it again.BTW. Made my own low pressure control valve with parts available on Amazon.

I love my fire disc
Once you own one, you’ll know what I mean when I say it does it all. I’m glad I bought it and I’m always recommending it to friends. I want to get one for my dad so he can stop borrowing mine. Haha

Fun to cook on, even if you own other grills. Built to last, great service.
I would give this 6 stars if I could. I hesitated because I already have a couple of grills, an Egg and Weber, but finally bit the bullet on the Disc. I've cooked with ti a few times already using the Ultimate Cooking Tool. This is more like skillet or wok cooking rather than on a grill, but I have really enjoyed using the FireDisc. It's pretty hard ot screw up what you are cooking and temperature control while cooking by moving the food around in the disc works great. Clean up is more than simple as well. This think is built to last and I look forward to years of using it. I must add that I had a couple of questions about seasoning it up front and their customer support was fantastic. They called me back from home on the weekend and gave me their direct cell number if I had any other questions. First class in my book.

VERSATILE COOKER!!
Since I received it I have cooked on almost everyday. Really love it's versatility as I have used it like a wok, a kettle, a fryer, a flat top , and like a cast iron skillet. It has 3 temperature settings (hi Med Low) and the cooker itself has 3 zones (hot middle, a little less hot on the mid-ring and quite a bit less hot on the outer ring. since I use it so much I got the 20lb propane adapter hose and it's always ready to go. It is pretty pricey although for whatever reason I found it at a really good price at the time I bought mine. When I take it camping or tailgating, I use the small propane tank with it and that works equally well. Also bought :Royal Industries Stock Pot Cover, Aluminum, 22" here on Amazon. It fits the firedisc perfect.
