This thing works surprisingly well! Really pleased with how easy this is... of course better to set up before issues may happen... but is helpful even after issues with infestation. I used this along with live traps which helped.. and now I just use this and it does the job great .

I placed this under the hood of a car I left stored for a couple of months. I left it in the dual mode on level 2 (because level 3 is very audible to people). I came back to find the car battery terminal cover slightly chewed on and rat turds around. Note that one of speakers was facing the battery and this was a small space. For this reason, I say this product is ineffective on rats. I wouldn't trust it to protect an area you don't want rats in. Not sure if it is equally ineffective on mice, but why wouldn't it be?

It got rid of our mice in the walls- put one under the house - it varies the sound and frequency patterns. It has annoying flashing lights too. So far I highly recommend it.

Work great for rats and mice but the squirrels seem to laugh at them.

Have to keep it on #1, because the higher settings hurts our Ears and really hurts our Dog’s and Cat’s Ears/hearing. They wouldn’t sleep and kept crying and pacing. After we put it to #1, they calmed down. When we turned it off, they finally could sleep. I cannot believe how the high frequency was heard and hurt our Human Ears and Animals’ hearing is tons stronger than our’s so, no wonder it affected them so much. Even with it on low and high, the damned destructive Squirrels still remained and chewed wires, phone lines and insulation. Pooping and peeing in insulation and ceilings.

The particular mice I'm having trouble with just aren't much bothered by it. There seemed to be less activity, but they certainly weren't gone. The landlord set some traps and has caught them, so I'm not too bothered that this unit started to malfunction today. I can clearly hear the sounds today, so I've just unplugged it. If they start coming back, I'll try another brand instead. The final return day is tomorrow, but I don't have time today or tomorrow to get this shipped back.

One of the things I like most is that this device doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. I just plugged it in and let it do its thing. It’s a huge plus that I don’t have to deal with dead pests or even see them, thanks to the way it works. Since it uses sound waves to repel rodents rather than trapping them, there’s no mess to clean up. Also, I haven’t noticed any negative effects on my pets, which is a big deal for me. The only slight issue is that I had to be careful about the placement since it needs to be plugged in a spot where it can cover the whole room.
