Impressed, so far
I read a lot of negative opinions about these, mainly from purists who have tons of experience with mechanical crimping. Although I understand the logic and science behind their preference, I’ve learned that it takes a lot of good quality and experience to crimp correctly. These things are very easy to use and effective enough for me. I connected two pieces of 14AWG as a test and the connection is extremely solid. See the pic.

Great connectors and have there use cases, but with some issues.
I feel they're a bit expensive for what they are, but they definitely have their place. I used a few of these connectors when repairing a car wiring harness where I couldn't fit a crimp connector and crimp tool in there. They make a great connection and I haven't had any issues with the installed connections. The only issue is it's a bit difficult to tell when the solder actually melts. While trying to melt one with a heatgun, the heatshrink insulation ripped itself from being overheated. I've never had that issue with any other heatshrink or waterproof crimp connector, so I feel that is a bit unacceptable.

Work really well and are very strong. Makes it easy to clean up wiring.

8/10
Decent, they could add a bit more solder but very solid connection and easy to use.

Electrical tape infused by modern day technology!
Excellent upgrade form using electrical tape for most connections! Strong and durable too!

I would like to see the solder band be twice as wide to insure that the joint is covered.
They appear to work fine, however I would like to see the solder band be twice as wide to insure that the joint is covered.

Good stuff.
They're handy. Don't use an open flame though. Use a heat gun. Seal the ends first, then melt the solder.
