Masculine/rugged/-balanced price/quality
If you want a very masculine watch, loaded with tech, durable and reliable! go for it! The watch is absolutely loaded with options for sports, notifications from all your social media accounts, health monitoring and other stuff that I am not going to describe, as I am not repeating the manufacturer description. What I like about the watch : its rugged, masculine look (do not expect a sleek, slim watch), Bluetooth connectivity (stable) useful, decent speakers for certain times when you want to take your calls on it (my dad hears me ok, meaning the mic seems to be working ok), the speakers are decent as well (unfair to expect Boombox JBL quality from them , considering the size!!) and they do the job fairly ok. is quite cool to take the call on your watch, but obviously if you don't want others to hear your stuff :)....don't use it :)...insanely long lasting battery!!size does matter!! as youi can see from the photos, I am comparing it with my old school, classic timepiece, so that you know what to expect, in terms of size - it is a military watch! - they mention this - Besides the functionality of it, it does present as a manly, rugged accessory - it feels good on the wrist - slightly uncomfortable when I am boxing and have to wear the glove over the watch, but in all fairness this not a design fault as they did not in mind you would wear it when wearing boxing gloves :)...lol...water resistant - as expected and described. cannot fault it so far, to be honest. In terms of advertising it, I appreciate they are open about its size - so that customers know what to expect, when they order! people should just read the description before they order and not complain after (and return the product) because the did not pay attention to reading the description of the product. there is a massive influx of smartwatches lately, different sellers, similar design, different manufactures, but IOWOOD offer really good after purchase customer care - I need to mention this as I had an issue with one of their watches and after contacting them (I genuinely did not expect them to get back to me, to be fair!!) they emailed me unexpected me quick and offered me a free replacement, after I sent them evidence of what was not working. they seem to be vested in looking after clients and protecting their image. I don't know about other customers, but I cannot fault them! bear in mind, they have really good discounts (I had £15 off the price) and if you like gadgets like these, and/or you want to get some decent priced/good quality presents, is really worth it. I am using it on Android.

Watch quality
Purchased watch in October last year and must say that I'm very impressed with the functionality for the price paid. Wasn't sure of the size at first as it’s thicker and has a larger screen than other watches I've had in the past but this one is very comfortable to wear for long periods. The thicker watch has enabled a larger capacity battery to be fitted than other watches I’ve had in the past, as such the battery life is extremely good, don't need it to wake by wrist up so at the moment it is still at 48% after a month. There is a large array of settings and functions available from the usual steps taken, heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring to a compass and even a led torch. The reports for steps taken, heart rate and sleep duration seem to be very accurate, cannot really comment on the sports settings as I’ve never used them. It displays notifications from messaging, emails, WhatsApp, calendar, watch alarms & more, also seems to be good at keeping connected to my phone via Bluetooth. It always reconnects to the phone when I've been out of range for a while. I had a couple of queries with the watch settings and used the "any questions, please contact" listed in "about" on the watches menu, had a reply the next day and my queries were answered, very refreshing to be able to contact the manufacturer direct. Final summary, it is a very capable watch and I'm extremely pleased as it does everything I want a smart watch to do for a reasonable price

Great battery
Not bad little watch. Great battery. Got it for Glastonbury to last the week. Lasted 20 days! Unfortunately I lost the charging cable and can't find a replacement.

Premium quality, but inexpensive smartwatch with tons of features and huge battery life
This smartwatch cost a shade under £80 at the time I purchased it. When I was reading the reviews and looking at some of the pictures the reviewers posted of it, I thought that it looked absolutely huge, and wasn't sure I wanted something that big strapped to my wrist. However, I decided to chance it and went ahead with the purchase anyway. To my relief, the watch is not the size of the Big Ben clock - don't get me wrong, it's pretty chunky, but it's not too obtrusive on your wrist. The watch feels really well put together, with a nice metal case, and despite the case being metal, the watch still feels very light and you don't feel that you have a dead weight strapped to your wrist. The screen quality is exceptional - crisp, bright and one advantage of its greater size, big and easy to read. It took me a few goes to hook it up to my phone via Bluetooth - this was largely due to not entirely understanding some of the menu options on the phone, and there are no instructions (that I could see) to explain what the various icons mean. There is one menu, when you swipe down from the main watch face, that has a telephone handset icon on it. If it's grey and you tap on it, it turns green, and I believe that this enables Bluetooth on the watch to pair it with your phone. Each time I did this, there was no issue connecting the watch inside my phones Bluetooth settings. Once connected to Bluetooth, there is a little menu option where you can make calls from the watch and have up to 15 contacts stored on the watch itself. I decided to test how usable this feature is, and found that the call audio quality from the watch itself is surprisingly good, and the people to whom I was speaking told me that the call quality at their end was excellent. Pretty impressive. (Just one note to say that if you use the watch to make and receive a lot of calls, the battery life will be reduced much faster). The watch has *lots* of different options for measuring the usual like step count, heart rate, calories burnt, etc., but also has options for blood oxygen level, stress level, sleep monitoring, etc. It has different menus to set goals for different types of exercise like running, cycling, walking, mountaineering(!), etc. However, the goals for each seem to be the same - time, calories and distance. I guess the benefit of this is that you can set separate goals for each type of exercise rather than having one size fits all. There is a useful torch on the watch, that whilst not really bright enough for nighttime walking through the dark woods, is really useful if you're having trouble getting the key in the front door lock when staggering home late in the evening after a heavy session down the pub! The light can also be made to flash like a strobe, which could be useful in an emergency situation if you wanted to broadcast your location in the dark. Also, the watch has a compass that seems pretty accurate once it's been calibrated, which you do by following the instructions on the screen and waving your wrist (with the watch strapped on, obviously!) in a horizontal figure of eight motion. Finally, the battery life. Due to its size, this watch has (for a watch) a huge battery. However, I think the stated 30-day battery life is a tad optimistic (a bit like the manufacturer's MPG figures for a petrol/diesel car or WLTP range figures for an EV - they're only achievable in "lab" conditions). That said, the battery life on this watch is still hugely impressive. When I received the watch, it was 93% charged, so I didn't bother charging it up to 100%. I am writing this review 7 days after receiving the watch, and it has been switched on and mostly on my wrist for the entirety of that 7 days. The battery level of charge is currently 56%, so it's possible that 15, maybe even close to 20 days of battery life are achievable, depending how heavily you use the functions on the watch, have the torch on, have the screen on, etc. (e.g. as stated earlier, using the phone feature a lot will reduce the battery runtime significantly). In summary, I think that for the money, this smartwatch is a fantastic piece of kit. The equivalents from the likes of Apple, Samsung, Garmin, etc. will be several times more expensive than this watch, and will they have significantly more functionality? I don't know the answer to that, but what I do know is that this watch, to me, is excellent value for money. EDIT: 6th May 2025 - this watch is still working extremely well just over 6 months after I purchased it. I wear it all day, every day, and I've had no issues with it. (I sincerely hope that's not the kiss of death now I've said that!) In the 6 months or so I've had it, I've only had to charge it a handful of times, meaning that a 20-30 day battery life is real-world in my experience. The price of the watch has now come down to £45, and, at the time of writing this, there was a voucher promotion for an extra £15 off. For £30, this watch is a no-brainer. EDIT: 4th September 2025 - the watch is still going strong, still has excellent battery life, and it's now approaching a year of daily wearing. OK, it has a fairly gentle life, as I don't go extreme hiking or even wear it at the gym (I hate any "jewellery" when I'm weight training), but it still continues to operate flawlessly.
