Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape 414H,1 in x 60 in

I use this stuff for everything. It always holds up. It’s good stuff. But understand when I say it always holds up it does .. so don’t put something up on the wall unless you want that permanently. Remember that because if you try to take it off, it’s gonna take the wall with it.

Used this to hold a device which attaches to the front door of my yard mailbox and sends a signal into a receiver in the house to let me know when the mailbox door is opened and -- supposedly -- mail has been delivered. The unit came with double stick tape to hold the gadget in place on the mailbox door, but after several weeks the tape gave way and the unit didn't work any more. I tried several types and brands of glue to no avail. This tape has held and keeps the system working, and has so far for two weeks.

Used this product to mount a curtain light outside, on BRICK. Brick is a very difficult mounting surface especially when it comes to adhesives like this. Overall, pretty happy with this product. It feels more secure over the other methods I have tried. The bottom of the curtain was more susceptible to the weather. The tape did lose it's adhesion and became unstuck after a light drizzle and will need to be redone. The top continued to stay in place for the time being. More my application, the length of the roll was more than enough and I used about half. Plenty of left to remount if needed or use somewhere else. Overall, held up much better on brick than many other options. Will have to continue to play around with it and see if I can get it to work in my favor.

This tape is great. This is the second time I'm buying it. I used it to attach my surge protector to the underside of my desk for cable management and it holds extremely well, even when you're pulling on the chords to unplug something. Must have item in the household.

Pros: -This is an affordable option with a lot of tape to last for several adhesive intensive projects. -The width is good enough to be used either as a full width or cut in half for smaller items and still be enough to adhere items to practically any surface. -The black color is hardly noticeable and the thickness is good so that you don't really notice it but it allows for enough give for stress management. Cons: -The darn near all surfaces when placed on the top of a surface but over time it can start to unstick from the side of objects (desks, chairs, walls), and it is pretty difficult to have anything stick to the bottom of objects for long periods of time. But that is an issue with physics, not really this tape... Overall I would recommend this product to anyone. This is the third type of mounting tape I've tried, starting from basic crafting foam tape to another type of thick adhesive tape and this is by far the best for most projects around the house and yard.

This stuff is really difficult to cut without making a mess of it. I have tried razor blades, regular scissors, Cutco super shears... It sticks to all of them, which causes it to stretch and lose stickiness around the edges (which causes the things you mount to fall sometimes). The backing is also very difficult to remove once you have cut your piece to size. I used this to apply knobs to kitchen cabinets in a rental house. It worked fairly well. The knobs we used most frequently loosened and a few fell off from time to time. It was a bit of a pain, but better than not having knobs. Just make sure that if you need to remove this, grab hold of a corner and stretch it, just like 3m command adhesives. It will release from smooth, hard surfaces. I didn't have any issues removing it from the cabinets. But it is not made to be a "removable" product, so there are no guarantees. BE CAREFUL!

I have used a bunch of other double sided tape even the most popular brand with the orange logo with the human like animal as its mascot you should know what one I’m talking about this double sided tape is 1 million times better I first purchased it to mount a rear camera in my cars rear windshield after two other kinds of double sided tape did not hold up i’ve had the camera mounted in my rear windshield for about six plus months now and is still holding strong even in direct sunlight and heat. It still stays up. I would definitely recommend this double sided tape over any other double sided tape I recently. Hung a metal sign to aluminum siding so far it is staying strong. I will do an update after it rains and snow and see how well it stays up through those elements but I still recommend this tape.

I purchased this to hold two surge protectors in place under 1) my work desk and 2) my night stand. Needless to say, the tape failed twice on the work desk and once on the night stand. All I can say is make sure you don’t have anything of value or importance plugged in that you can’t afford to have fall due to poor adhesion. The surge protectors weigh in less than 5 lbs (Tripp Lite is the largest one, the other is small). The plugs going into both were never tight ie they had slack, and neither had large power adapters plugged into them. The Tripp lite had approximately 7x2 inches of tape on its side(!) with the plugs on the x axis, and the night stand had similar tape coverage with the plugs straight down ie Y axis. I can’t recommend this product, and I wish I could refund. I’ll go with 3M instead.

The item is good. After all it's from Scotch. At AED 23, this item is cheaper to buy here than the hypermarket.

I have tried several tapes that were highly recommended for holding things in place. I bought an over the door shoe rack but no tape has held up to keep it tightly secured to the door. I always clean the areas where the tape is to be applied, dry well, place the tape to the door and the rack push and hold 60 seconds then let sit at least 24 hrs before using and none of the other tapes lived up to their hype. I tried this one and it has only been a week but so far it is still holding fast. I have not fully loaded the shoe rack yet (tired of having to pick up 25 pairs of shoes when the rack pulls away from the door) but it is holding with the ones on it so it is giving me hope.
