Good product
I received this through the Vine program for an honest review.I was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago. When I had purchased my test kit, the lancing device didn’t work, so I’ve spent the last few years just pushing the lancet into my skin manually. It worked well enough, but when I saw this product on Amazon, I thought the concept was good, and decided to give it a try.It arrived a few days ago, and so far I’ve been pleased with it. Once I figured out how to work it, it’s drawn blood quickly and fairly painlessly. For the price, it’s definitely a good option for someone who lost, or has a broken lancing machine. The only critique I have is the instructions. With how it was written, I didn’t expect to have to put as much pressure to get it to work as I did. You have to really push down hard to get the lancet to draw blood, harder than I’ve been doing manually for the last 3 years. I thought I was doing it improperly and threw a couple out before I figured it out. That said, I’ll continue to use these, and will probably purchase again.

Typical feeling but easier to use
If you don’t want to spend the time using a lancing pen then these are the next best things. I do love the lancing pens because I can change the depth of the needle too versus this which is just one depth. However, a lancing pen can be tedious and annoying when you have to constantly change out the cartridges and such. Plus it is bulky so packing it into your glucometer case can be annoying. These are quick release devices and very small. Easy to pack into a glucose bag and even easier to use. You literally place it on the finger and just push down. I don’t know why I braced so hard for this because it was just like my lancing pen. I think the different size gauge of the needle is what made me nervous. In reality though it was just like my pen. My favorite thing about this though is that I can do my whole family super fast. I spend so much time placing a new lancet in my pen for each family member that it takes me a long time. With this I literally had them in a lineup and just swabbed em then lanced them and was done once I tested. My brother has man hands ( I like to call them that) in the sense that he has done so much manual labor that his finger pads are thick and calluses. This penetrated it well enough to get a single blood drop. Now wiping the first drop and trying to get another didn’t work but I usually have to poke the same spot twice with my pen just to get a single blood drop. So only having to poke him once to get the blood drop is great since it means I am only poking him twice total. Now I don’t want others to be discouraged by that because I have dainty delicate fingers that only type on a keyboard at the most. It doesn’t lance me super hard or to the point where it’s painful. It just does one good poke and that is it. My nephew is a slow bleeder and I hate it because I can never get a drop out of him unless I do all the extra steps. Apply a warm compress to his finger, massage the finger before lancing, the whole process. This gave me one good poke but I will say he did flinch compared to my lancing pen but I didn’t have to poke him a billion times so I find that a win.

Work great
These make the finger prick easy. Just pop of the end and it's ready to go. Did have a few that didn't work but I would say 98 percent did. Definitely make it Convenient without having to load a needle and charge up every time you want to do a diabetes test.

These safety lancets are great. We first saw them at the local clinic and thought they were cool.
Rather than loading up a lancet into the spring pen, we can now use these and dispose of them safely into a regular bin. We first saw these used at our local clinic and we thought they were very cool and convenient, so I looked for them on Amazon.
