completed reading Hands-on Large Language Models by Jay Alammar and Maarten Grootendorst, and I must say, it’s a gem. The book offers a StatQuest-like experience for LLMs, starting from models like BERT to the preference tuning of large language models (LLMs). The explanations are intuitive, and the visuals make the learning experience engaging. Finally understood BertTopic and I can’t help but think about how implementing augmented SBERT for certain tasks at my previous company could have made a significant impact. Although it comes with a premium price tag, I believe it’s worth every penny for the visuals and clarity it offers. I wish it had included more on scaling laws, given their significance in understanding the exponential improvements and cost trade-offs in training LLMs. Including a discussion on that would have rounded off an already exceptional book.

Exceptionally well explained concepts with perfect visualization!! This is a go to book for getting your hands and theory dirty on LLMs

Content of the book is very good, i have finished reading 2 chapters and the concepts explained are very easy to understand and very well explainedHowever, one start rating is for quality of the book.When I received the first copy around 20 pages were couple printed, could not read anything from those pages.I ordered replacement of the book, even the replacement book has same problem but in some other pages.Since I wanted to read this book , I did not return it.I expect a good quality book for the price I paid for

The book is amazing, but the pages are not like other shroff publication books. I received the book in not a great shape.
