Feature-Packed 4K Laser Projector That Delivers Great Value and Stunning Visuals
**Review: Hisense Laser Cinema PL2 The Hisense Laser Cinema PL2 is a feature-rich 4K ultra-short throw projector that delivers excellent value for money. With X-Fusion laser technology, Pure Colour, HDR10+, Dolby Vision & Atmos, and support for 3D and Filmmaker Mode, it brings a true cinematic experience right into your living room. The 2700 lumens brightness and 3000:1 native contrast ratio provide vibrant, sharp visuals even in brighter environments, while the wide projection range (80"–150") makes it versatile for different room sizes. Setup requires some patience, especially when adjusting the image to fit your screen perfectly—but once dialed in, it stays consistent. While auto screen size calibration or a slide-in/out mechanism would be a great future addition, the current setup still offers great flexibility. With its solid build quality, premium features, and high-end performance at a competitive price, the PL2 stands out as a smart investment for home cinema enthusiasts.

Developed bad pixels - ZERO response from support
This was good until it started getting white spots at 6 months. I attempted to contact Hisense multiple times and even had Amazon Support note and copy the manufacturer. Now it freezes while utilizing the Google TV and drops WiFi constantly and the only way I can use it (while seeing white spots) is through another device hooked through the HDMI port.

The PL2 is an amazing piece of hardware
I have not been able to find one single review on this model of projector. I did not purchase it from Amazon but wanted to add my review here. Ease of Setup - Wonderful. It walked me through all the steps to get the projector fit to my wall and make sure the corners were as straight as they could be. Features - HDR, FILMMAKER MODE - Beautiful. Everything is in crisp 4K and the up-scailing on 1080p is impressive. I did have to turn off a lot of "Auto" features which try to detect peak contrast/brightness and scene context. I found it to be distracting to watch any videos that go between live action and clips. When it cut to a movie clip, the scene would try to optimize the colors and contrast and sometimes look over blown. Brightness - I am coming from a 1500 lumen LG UST. This blows it away. Animation and Video games pop nicely. Skin tones on movies and TV are spot on. Distance - the Projector is about 6 inches from my wall and I am getting 100"+ I'd love to be able to try the full 150". Fan Noise - The output of the fan is on the left side of the unit so you have to make sure you keep it nice and clear of anything. If you use HDR and project a lot of bright scenes, the fan will kick on but it is at a good low level. I have found in manual mode, turning the laser brightness down to 5 or 6 that it will turn off the fan if it's a quiet scene. The difference in brightness from 6-10 is very minimal. Game Support - I have successfully synced up the projector with Rockband 4, YARG, Clone hero and it performs nicely. the Low lag settings are great. I would suggest this projector to anyone that literally just wants a TV projected on their wall. Other models would feel like they were missing something (This is my 4th projector and 3rd UST) The only thing that would make it better is me purchasing a ALR screen but it is not a requirement even on bright mornings. Just don't watch anything too dark with the windows open or you will not be able to tell what's happening.

Lo-Sense Projector
Your furniture must conform to the projector's requirements: according to the manual it MUST be 116mm from the screen and 325mm below it! I've had to push the TV cabinet so close to the wall that power plugs are being forced out of the sockets and, because of the abnormally wide shape and feet underneath, I had to put a musical instrument box under it to raise it. The manual isn't helpful either. You have to plug in the power cable and there's a picture of that which is obvious but then you have to turn on the power button which is hidden and not in the manual! The printed manual that came with the projector claims under certain conditions that rear feet have to be adjusted which I didn't recall seeing and there is no picture in the manual, but there is a top view. So I go to all the trouble to turn it over and there are no rear feet! The picture is bright but none f the presets are colour accurate. I will try to adjust manually but this company needs to better on the basics.

Great for that home theatre experience
Imagine a cinema experience in your living room. This is my second ultra short-throw - and I'll never go back to a screen. The 4K resolution pops, and the brightness, contrast and saturation are improved - even the black levels! Great price as well! Highly recommend!

wow
Exceeded my expectations, at 150" this projector on power saving mode is so much brighter, clearer and colors more vivid than my Epson 5040ub bulb projector at 120" on high power. Projecting on to a flat pure white painted wall. Even in daylight, the picture is very good. Must look amazing on a proper ust screen, maybe one day I'll get one.
