Design Toscano QM20510 Ribbit The Frog Garden Toad Statue, 9", Full Color

I love this frog. It is just as pictured. The eyes are like they are looking at you and it is a perfect size and wait. Compliments my porch. Good quality. It is outdoors so I will apply the Valspar clear spray paint someone talked about in another review so as to preserve the color and paint.

Like the other Design Toscano garden statues we've purchased, we're very happy with this one as well. Had we not ordered two of the Ribbit the Frog Garden Toad statues, we might not have ever noticed the difference. As always, Design Toscano products are packed with care and their items are quality all the way. One of our frogs, however (the one sitting beneath the purple plant (don't worry...it only wilts during the day in full sun before returning to its glorious splendor when the shade rolls around) looks like it was owned by someone else and has spent a year out in the sun prior to us receiving it. The bright green and sharp black were faded before we ever received it, while the other toad (poised in front of the trellis) arrived bright green with sharp colors and contrast. We're not bothered enough to return the faded toad, but still yet wanted other potential buyer to be aware of the situation we encountered.Overall, Design Toscano is still the best. Quality all the way.

LARGE toads with big scary eyes that follow you everywhere. My guests have done everything from turning them to face the wall to covering them with a paper towel, claiming, "Those toads are staring at me!!!" Nice. Realistic. But identical. There should be a variation in stance/positioning of the set of two.

Gorgeous, realistic, and beautifully painted. If you place it outside, I highly recommend to spray first with Valspar clear top coat flat premium finish to keep it looking good. I have several Design Toscano pieces in my various gardens and each has held up beautifully for years if clear-coated first. I keep mine outside all year long. In the spring, I examine each statue, and if some need another coat of protection, I clean the statue with soap and water, let it dry, then spray another application of clear top coat spray. Prior to doing this, some of my statues had areas where the paint wore off, so I cleaned the statue, applied acrylic paint to touch up the bare areas, let it dry, then sprayed clear coat. If you use Valspar Premium Finish Flat Clear Top Coat, make sure you wear a mask and spray outside in open air. It dries in about an hour. It's well worth it to preserve the beauty of such an exquisite piece of art such as Design Toscano.

Nice big size and light enough for my grandson to pick up. He is two and loves finding the frog outside and picking it up. It almost looks real! When I look at its eyes and turn it from side to side, it looks like the eyes are following me. Looks real except I know frogs aren't that big.

This guy sits atop my septic cover and watches over the yard. I can see him peeking up if the grass gets a little taller telling me it needs to be mowed. Love himUpdate 9/2/15, I received my Frog May 21, and he was great. But after 3+ months of guarding the yard, he is starting to loose his color. He is peeling badly and for a garden item, this should not be happening. His surface paint should be able to take the weather. He is in the shade most of the time so it is not because of Sun exposure. I am very dissapointed that this is happening. I am downgrading his STARS to 3 stars. I know this is not Froggies fault because he is doing his job, but his maker was not thinking of what his environment would ultimately be.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend. It's very lifelike and so much larger than I expected. I would highly recommend it!
