Excellent Book
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was very informative and practical. It adequately explained each emotional condition and how to deal with them without being too wordy. It even had some humor. I definitely recommend it.

Good Summary of Internal Challenges
This was a good summary of some of the internal challenges we might experience in difficult situations, and thoughts as to how to handle them effectively. When we get upset, sometimes it's just good to know we're normal. This book accomplishes that.

I found this book to be thought-provoking, relevant, and I like the strategies outlined. I think the author is very skilled at taking research and other ideas, consolidating it to what is most relevant and providing fresh new insights in the field of cognitive science - and apparently emotions. I love that. And I appreciate her humor and encouragement mixed in.The ideas for action presented are attainable and applicable. She gives multiple examples and options to start acting on. It’s not “one big universal truth” she wants us, the readers to accept and digest.

Everyone can benefit from this very helpful guide on how to better deal with negativity from others, and counteract it with positivity. To change our perspective. To get over our crippling negative emotions about ourselves and others. To change our negative thoughts and become whole emotionally.

Good read for understanding
This book highlights the root of some common issues that every person faves and exercises to overcome them. Although the structure is slightly jumbled and there are many typos (sometimes making it difficult to read without going back) it presents some very useful information. It gives examples of behaviors described in each chapter and how to overcome them on a basic level. However, I stress the importance of the word basic. This book gives you some tools to begin learning how to dig deeper into yourself for self discovery and awareness however, it is not a substitute for counseling or therapy for more complex cases of emotional burdens or traumas.

Central Message OK But……
The messages were conveyed in an easy to read format that made each chapter understandable. I found what this book lacks is practical exercises in each chapter that would help enforce the information. There were always some exercises at the end of each chapter but they were very specific and not at all relevant to be generic enough to reach most of the readers, such as one statement aimed at resolving relationship issues. While on relationship issues I thought that the author concentrated too much on this for the examples and not enough on a broader range of situations. Sometimes it read like it was the script from a presentation rather than a book and also using references from Wikipedia is perhaps not the best source to be quoting. The other issues I had was that there were spelling mistakes, words missing from sentences and no page numbers! On the positive side it’s quite a quick and easy to read book, bought this yesterday and it took only a few hours to read.
