So glad I gave it a try
I use mine in my airplane. I almost did not buy after reading the reviews but decided to give it a try. The result is...I LOVE IT. No its not as cold as the 5 ton AC unit in my house. Yes the ice does melt over time. Yes the battery does run out after I have it on a few hours. But that is to be expected people! Ice melts, battery's run out, and your house or car AC is going to blow harder and colder. This unit is not designed to replace your home or vehicle AC. I get 2-3 hours of good cold air with normal bag cubed ice with the unit on high. Add 1 or 1.5 hours if on low. I make my own large blocks of ice and then put cubed ice in to top it off for long flights. 4.5 hours is the longest I have used it this way and I still had ice and cold air after 4.5 hours. The battery on mine runs the unit as advertised. I plug it in for real long flights.

Please don't waste your almost $400
I don't take the time to write reviews, but feel compelled in case others read them for this product. Please don't waste your almost $400! The product works, but it runs so hot, 15+ pounds of ice will melt in an hour. We ran it in our small pickup truck bed, covered by a LEER cap, when we moved from MO to FL this summer. Our cats were in a big dog crate in the area. We kept the windows from cab to bed open with a fan pulling interior a/c into the back, too. Using an indoor/outdoor thermometer, we monitored the temp in 2 zones inside the bed. This unit would keep the area comfortable in the mid-seventies for about an hour running on low. Then the temp would start to climb and we'd stop and buy more ice. The ice would be fully melted. So if you used this anywhere but an interstate system with ice readily available every hour, you would only be cool for an hour. If you are like me, this would make me very angry. Good idea; bad product; similar ones for hundreds less probably work just as well and you won't waste hundreds of your dollars. Really wish I hadn't.

Low battery life....
I purchased this item here on Amazon through Willoughby's. The first one was totally dead when it arrived. It had to be replaced through Icy Breeze which took two weeks and I had to pay $13 of the shipping charge. The Icy Breeze works very well to keep my Yorkie cool while we run in to eat or shop but be aware that it MUST be fully charged before you walk out the door. We charge it when we get home and again before we leave the house. The battery runs down whether it's running or not. We do not get 2 1/2 hours on high as they advertise, it's more like an 1 1/2 hours. Still we're getting enough use from it to justify buying it, we just wish it ran longer on a battery charge.

The IcyBreeze was a wonderful relief, and we hope to use it for ...
My wife and I read the reviews on the IcyBreeze and we were very reluctant in purchasing it. However, our expectations were not high. We wanted a system that would provide temporary relief during baseball season. The IcyBreeze was a wonderful relief, and we hope to use it for years to come. We even use it by the our pool during the North Texas summers. Five stars Baby...Five stars.

Does not work in car
Does not work in car. I tested the Icybreeze in my car on a 75 degree day and I put a thermometer in my car. The product failed to cool my car or even keep the temperature from rising. Maybe it works in a tent but from my perspective it is cheaper just to get a fan and an ice chest.

Air cooler battery will not charge. 500.00 for this cooler and it just doesn't work.

My plan failed
Yes, it does blow cold air. But it's no match against the Arizona heat. I work a split shift ( school bus driver) and was hoping it would keep me cool enough to take a nap in my car. Not a chance. Oh well.

It worked for 3 hours.
This thing worked for all of three hours. I tried to return it and it had been long, so now I have a very expense cooler. The cooler is good but because of the cooling parts it limits the amount of items you can put in it. It made me mad every time I saw the stupid thing in the garage so I just set it by the street for the garbage man to pick up. They picked it up this morning. Don't buy this cooler. If you look on Youtube you can build one very easy and the homemade one work pretty good. It will cost you $50.00 if you have to buy everything to make it.

Uses way to much ice
Returned after one day. It wasn't what I hoped. It arrived on a 100 degree day, used up 15 pounds of ice in 2 hours. Non block. I had a twenty dollar box fan next to it and got just as much relief from that. This might be good for a few situations, just not fire camp. Also had trouble getting a hold of anyone for a refund. In the end it seemed good quality, just not for me.
