Exactly what they advertise "Maintenance Free"
For 7 YEARS now I have been the proud and happy owner of an AquaBella aquarium using the freshwater bio enzyme. I love aquariums and bought this one originally because of the advertisement "Maintenance Free" aquarium. I am here to tell you that it has been exactly that, NO maintenance for 7 years! Except for the replenishing of the evaporated water with distilled water and the bio enzyme treatment that has been all I have had to do the 7 years. My fish are healthy and thrive and last many years. I have even gone more than 2 years before using the bio enzyme and have tested the water in between and it was perfect! Of course, I used the bio enzyme, anyway, as soon as I remembered. The customer service is also amazing as through the years I have had to contact Aquabella for questions. Yoni, the owner I believe, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding his products. He takes the time to answer your questions and concerns without making you feel like you are bothering him. Recently, I had to inquire and I left a message on the Aquabella voicemail and my call was returned within a day. Purple was very helpful and friendly and did all that she could to answer my question. I completely support and endorse all AquaBella products. I have 7 years experience to be able to say that now. 👍🏼Thank you, Yoni, for the many years and ongoing enjoyment of my Aquabella aquarium and especially your Bio-enzyme water treatment for fresh and salt water!… Simply amazing!! Amazing!!
This really is amazing. I have treated my water with all of the appropriate treatments, but still suffered from cloudy water in both my aquariums. I just used the 3rd treatment out of the 4 day pack. Last night, my 10 gallon aquarium was already crystal clear. My 20 gallon aquarium is almost clear, but it started out cloudier than the smaller one. By the second day, I was seeing dramatic improvement in the clarity of the water. Both aquariums smelled a bit, and the smell is completely gone, also. I can't wait to see what the water looks like after the 4th day (tomorrow). The water in both tanks is already drastically improved. I could barely see my fish before in my smaller tank, and now I can already see them from the other room. This stuff definitely is all it's cracked up to be! I will definitely continue using it, each year. Awesome product! I spent a ton of money on the cheap bottles of water clarifier, and compared to this, they were definitely a big waste of money!!

It also messes with a cycled tank releasing bad bacteria into the water
This product really F's with your water parameters and puts many types of delicate fish into a shock phase as there are sudden spikes not only every day, but nearly every hour. It also messes with a cycled tank releasing bad bacteria into the water. Shock = havoc on fish immune system = vulnerability to disease = expect dead fish causing a ammonia spike = more dead fish = more dead fish. If you have no job, responsibilities, or no wish to leave your house for a week,.. well you can monitor your tank... but what happens when your gh and kh shoot up and you can't do any water changes? you can lower ph, reduce nitrates and ammonia. But what about your fish's' immune system, what about death from shock? What do you do when you have done days 1-3 and your fish start dying? Your cycled tank is going crazy, and you have to wait 60 days for the cycle to return to normal? Are you willing to risk losing your fish instead of doing regular water changes? I lost 1 thousand dollars in fish and I had to buy a entire new setup (another 2k) If you have cheapo petsmart fish, go for it. If you have discus and plecos- throw this out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have asked Amazon to investigate this product. Read up on it in a decent aquatic care forum. Then decide. Oh, yes it did make my water very clear though.

Lets see how this goes
So, I just found this product and I figured it would be a good experiment.Setup:90 Gallon Aqueon fresh water targeted for African Cichlids. Pre drilled with Aqueon plumbing kit.Aqueon proflex 3 sump with the wet/dry module (Bioballs)Eheim universal 3400 Return pump. FYI this pump is really just about the limit of this sump as I have a small amount of bypass on the drip plate.Eheim Classic 350 Canister filter. This is getting me to about 2x the water filtration and I have a ton of water moving in here.2x 300 watt heaters. Currently set at 82F, lighting is left off, only the main room lights are doing anything, this tank gets about 0 sun as it is in the basement. No algae of any sort yet.Using Seachem prime as a water conditioner.Doing a fishless cycle with Ace Janitorial Strength Formula brand Ammonia, 10% solution, just water and ammonium hydroxide.Tank is about %60+ Through it's cycle.Using API master test to test the water. At this point I am putting 3 capfulls of the ammonia into the water once every 20-24 hours. Before adding ammonia is reading 0 or almost 0. Nitrite is VERY high, Nitrate is very high. And by very I mean maxed out for the test.I would also like to reinforce that there are no fish in this tank and no food or other chemicals have been added. Also the water is Very clear and no strange smells.I purchased 2 of these kits and just spoke with their support today. They suggested adding just the booster pack tube. I just did this, 2 full tubes. They told me to wait 3-5 days to see what is going on without anything else added. I did ask about water changes and filter cleaning, but they said no as there is no organic material in this system yet.Now at this point in my cycle I would expect Nitrites to drop, and they are as Nitrates are growing, but it will be hard to understand if this is making a change unless something radical happens in the next few days. To their phone supports credit, they asked me to please keep them in the loop and let them know what happens.I will check back in here and re-edit this review as things go on.Also please realize this is 100% my experience and I have never even heard of Aquabella until about 4 days ago.Update and a bump in star count from 3 to 4. After 1 day I went from an unknown level (Maxed out test reading)of Nitrite to 0. Trust me I am shocked by this and I almost think that it is somehow causing my test kit to not work right, but I did the test 3 times. Attached a photo to the product page of the vials and chart. So far this seems like some sort of magic potion that I am having a hard time understanding. Also after adding another 3 cap-fulls of ammonia (Trust me this is more than any fish load could make) after about 20 hours from the first 0 reading, I am still showing 0!Update 12 days later:Ammonia and Nitrite have remained at 0 on every test. I have been adding 3 capfuls of the Ammonia solution every day and I test the water before I add more. Nitrates were still massively off the chart (Greater than 160 ppm). I just did a 90%+ water change and this as brought Nitrates down to about 30PPM (This just shows how high they were).I have 36 fish arriving on the 27th, 4 more days. I have also cut the ammonia input to 1 capful a day. I will be doing water changes in-between now and then to get the Nitrates down to healthy levels, but I am going to leave it as it is for 2 days to see if there is any control over the Nitrate levels. Once the fish are in, I will start the 3 day dosing cycle and stop adding ammonia to the water. At this point, IMO, this product has 100% cycled my tank from ~60% to 100% in one day and at no point has anything changed from that first day result. I am not sure how it will be able to control Nitrate as my levels were so high that I can't expect any product to fix them, hence the massive water change. I will continue to update as things progress. I have also submitted a photo of my tank setup before adding fish. The rock is lace rock, substrate is a mix of 20% crushed coral and 80% Carib Sea ACS00223 African Ivory Coast Sand for Aquarium. The plants are plastic as the fish would destroy anything real.
