The globe itself is great with good clear detail and my students love it. I switched out the base as it is plastic and wouldn't last long in my classroom with a metal base I had from an outdated globe for kid friendly perfection.

Well printed, clear and crisp. Perfect size and price. Stand is a little wobbly.

Purchased this to donate to my kid's middle school. After being handled daily by the teacher to showcase the cities and continents they were studying and sometimes being handled by multiple kids, this 12 inch Globe is still attached and going strong! I researched all over the internet before deciding on this purchase. The graphics feature full raised relief giving it a more interesting texture than a flat print and keeps kids engaged to want to run their fingers over it. The globe is lightweight but still durable and sits firmly on the scratch resistant base. Everyone in the class appreciated the detailed legend and easy to distinguish political boundaries as they try to understand the world's current events. The teacher especially complimented at the accuracy of this globe versus other ones in the market. This globe is sold only through Toys'R'Us, so it arrived in their packaging and receipt.

Nice globe. My autistic son loves maps, and so this was perfect for him. He uses it to look at all the places on our planet. Easy to read.

We bought this for the library children's room to replace an older globe. The 12" sphere sits on a flimsy base that slides around the table when you try to spin the globe. I say "try" because the globe does not smoothly turn. In some places the lines of latitude and longitude line up, but more often they are off by as much as a quarter inch. Now I know that young children are not going to be using a globe to accurately plot a route from Kiribati to the Marquesas, but for forty bucks I'd like to be able to think they can use a globe that is marginally more accurate than a beach ball. In fact, that's just what I'm going to do with it.

Not worth the money I paid. Super cheap materials. Great for young kids but it's probably not going to hold up long if played with. Best to just spend more money on a metal one

noticed that the paper glued to the globe was not flush with other parts, and the base is extremely cheap plastic, making the globe bounce up and down if you give it a spin. .

My husband and I bought this globe for our son's birthday and he absolutely loves it! The countries and its boundaries are accurately descriptive, along with raised mountainous features. All around, great buy for my money!
