Tiny Tiny Houses

An old book but very well written, illustrated and produced
Receiving a book like this, that must date back 30/ 40 years, reminds you how much crap is published today. The book itself was well produced, set out and bound. The illustrations were excellent. the research and text is fascinating. I buy most cabin/ small house/ build your own books and this really is one of the best, and I recommend it. You could easily find practical inspiration from the detailed construction diagrams in 3D.

I would have given it 5 stars like 20 years ago but he needs to write a new book. There aren't enough designs in it and I can find more stuff on the internet. I went to a talk by his son and it's worth it to get the info and inspiration firsthand from the people behind the movement.

Great book on very small houses.
Extremely well written and detail filled descriptions of every small building depicted. Even Henry David Thoreau’s tiny cabin is shown in detail.

Not what you think
Let's be clear, this book talks about tiny houses in the conventional sense, not in the modern sense where they are on trailers or trucks.

A must-read for anyone interested in the tiny house movement
This book by Les Walk, which was published in 1987, is indispensable for anyone thinking about building a tiny house. As well as those who are just interested in reading about the history of architecture in the US.
