I always use these covers to keep my license plates clean, dent free, and easily readable. I will typically bring the plates into the house, and wash and wax the plates and the covers. A good wax will give you a year of protection from UV, and dresses up your car... Sparkle City! When I was a kid, back in the '50s, I worked in my Father's Body & Fender Shop, sweeping the floor at first, then detailing - we called it 'getting a car ready to give back to the customer. We'd wash, Buff, and Simonize the car, for that, we used those old-time metal-bodied SIOUX 12-inch buffers. MAN!, after swinging one of those 20-pound beasts back and forth, at arm's length all day, your arms and shoulders would ache. Then, we'd get busy with the toothbrushes, Q-Tips, toothpicks, and other little tools to get into the small spaces; that's how this process came to be known as 'Detailing'. We'd finish up by cleaning the car's windows. We ALWAYS used Sparkle Brand Spray Window Cleaner. As I recall, it was used originslly to windows of the B-29.

First, this is a fine product at a very fair price that protects my front vanity license plate from bugs and debris. The fact that we get 2 covers for 1 price doubles that value and gives one a second chance at not overdoing it. You see I was in a hurry in the rain to remove my plate, clean it off and reinstall it with this new protector. So, I used my trusty little battery-powered reversible drill/screwdriver, with its dial selectable screw-depth/torque selector on just 5 out of 20, and I cracked this new cover at both of the top screw holes. Rather than repeating the process with my drill's torque set to its lowest setting and getting the same result, I recommend installing with a hand-held screwdriver or nut driver.

After awhile you will want to get new ones to cover that nice plate you have, so buy two or more. They do get beat up.

License plates aren’t all cut to the same size making installation not as easy as possible. Size of the cover can be small

It would be nice if the products came in tacked. We won't purchase this product again.

I bought another after the years brought a yellowing to the old one. It's thick and great and lasts at least 5 years according to my old one (and I likely could have scrubbed away the yellow with some kind of product but I was too lazy). I only use it for the back plate of my truck so I gave away the second one that comes with the purchase to a friend. Now we're both happy. BTW I only screwed in the top two holes because my truck wouldn't let me reach to the bottom two screws but it holds firm and that may just be my Chevy bumper.

Nice covers. Not sure of durability and longevity. Will update accordingly.

The Flat Clear License Plate Cover is as described and fits ok.But when I unpacked it, one of the covers is cracked down the middle. May have happened during transport ?I would appreciate a replacement.
