Great hard wire kit. This was my first time installing a dash cam (I bought the Q7 Dual 4K Dash Cam, which I am very impressed with so far). It was important for me to have surveillance when the car is parked in parking lots or over night on the street. Additionally, I didn’t like the idea of using the cigarette outlet and with a cable dangling constantly dangling around. Thus, the hard wire kit was the way to go to have a reliable and subtle installation. The kit came with a little instructional manual and a link to a YouTube video. The instructions are very detailed, clear and easy to follow for someone who has never done an installation before and outline the few things you have to pay attention to for a proper install. Initially, I was worried that the kit wouldn’t fit for the fuse box of my car, but luckily since there is 4 different types of fuse cables and fuses included, one type fit my Hyundai Elantra perfectly. I was able to completely hide the wires behind the interior trim and only about 3 inches of cable are visible to connect to the camera. Everything works great and I am very happy with my purchase of the dash cam and the hard wire kit.

So far, so good. It works exactly as I hoped it would. I am using it to detect any "collision" if my car were to be struck when it is parked. Note that the attached camera (I have the N5) can be set to also take time-lapsed photography when the car is parked - be careful with this function or it may be possible to run your battery down. Personally, I have disabled that function, but of course your needs may be different.

This is a nice addon for the IIWEY N5 dash-cam as it allows use of the 24-hour monitoring feature not available if you use the included cigarette lighter power cord. This unit adds functionality where it monitors if your car is on or off (using of a wire connected to a constant power source and one to an accessory power source. The kit comes with 4 sets of connectors and fuse types which should match any car's current setup. The unit's installation is straight forward. It's unfortunate this unit is not part of the initial camera; however, for just a bit more money, it appears well made and worth the price.

It works good but one of the connectors I really had to force the fuse into it

I ordered this to support my installation of the IIWEY N5 dashcam. Unfortunately, probably due to manufacturing tolerances, the piggy-back fuse connectors supplied would not insert into the fuse panel of my 2019 Subaru Ascent. Fortunately, I had a spare set of compatible piggy fuse connectors from another project on a previous car, and these fit perfectly. I informed the vendor of my issue, and they responded by sending me a replacement connector, which is a definite positive for future customer support, so I'm giving them 5 stars for resolving an issue that was no fault of their own. The parked collision feature appears to be working as it should. I'm hesitant to "whack" the car to see how sensitive the vibration sensor is, but all the other menu items now work as described in the manual. Does not fit correctly for Mazda cx5 fuse’s. Also killed my car battery. After trying to install. My car refused to start and needed to buy a new battery.
