Effective - but the smell…?!!?
Sturdy and heavy enough that it’s not going to move. Each of the two channels is big enough to fit a heavy duty type 2 charger cable for EV, which is what I bought it for. The lid is easy to flip up and down; the pins for the hinge seem loose and are lightweight plastic so time will tell whether they stand up to any heavy usage. I’d happy recommend it; but I’m keeping mine outside and in the position it’s going to be used. Hopefully the smell will wear off - I certainly wouldn’t have one of these in my house and I’d not be happy to keep it in a garage or shed because it would stink the place out!

Really chunky - this wing break easily!
I bought. This to cover a short path of paved walkway where my EV car charger cable would otherwise be left lying to trip people up.It is very heavy for its size. I think it weighs about 8kg and you would really struggle to move it accidentally. It has two really decent slots in it and it would hold a lot of cable. The yellow flap is strong and secure. It needs a decent tug to open it and it closes securely. It also will bear a lot of weight. The ramp angle looked a bit steep out of the box but it’s very gentle and I’ve seen at least one person push a buggy right over it with no trouble.I bought it because it was the cheapest of what looked like identical items and I’m very pleased with it.One thing that might be worth knowing if you plan to store it indoors (mine lives outside) is that it smells really strongly of petrochemicals - think road tar when it’s being laid and it’s quite a close match. That would bother me if it was stored in a cupboard and it may well dissipate with time but it does smell very strongly.

Sturdy and useful
It can hide any cables you want to protect and create a visible presence. Better with larger and thicker cables or a bunch of cables. Smaller ones may slip out of the casing.

Takes the worry out of charging
Having done my research, I settled on buying this cable protector to allow me to charge my car safely. It is both heavy and robust and very visible, which makes me feel much better about running a cable across the pavement. The cable channel in the protector is perfect for the width of the charging cable and the flap that covers it fits flush. It will also last a long time.It does have a wonderfully addictive smell which could permeate your house, but mine lives outside so I do not have this problem. I’m pleased exactly that what I had in mind is what I’ve got.

Great quality
Great quality, nice and sturdy. Bit smelly though! I loved the smell but had left it in my lounge overnight.. was a bit overpowering in the morning - keep it outside

Very smelly!
When you unwrap this, make sure to leave it outdoors when you do so - it smells very strongly! You really don't want this smell off gassing in your house! However it's very sturdy and will protect my ev cable and passers by while my car charges in the street.

Really heavy and solid, does the job
I use this beween my the front of my car and the garage door. I had a soft rubber one that would not stay flat making it almost useless. This item is heavy and very solid so it stays flat and does not move. Its easy to flip open the yellow lid and drop a cable or cables in one of the two slots within the item. I bought the 5m extension lead to go with it so that I could run the thin cable it comes with back to the garage. I didn't want to use an exension lead with a socket and then have to put that under the car bonnet. (I didn't think that was suffciently waterproof). As an extra precaution I wrapped the wateproof joint between the cables with self amalgamating rubber tape. ensuring it is totally sealed. Uncessary probably but I am cautious with power supplies outside :-) Only had a short while so can't comment on Durability but it looks like it will last along time.
