To start of with the positive, the lock box appears be well made, and nicely powder coated (but chipped on a corner in shipping, exposing bare metal)The negative, Drilling template is way off. I am so glad I chose to double check the holes in the actual lock body to the template holes. Average container door thickness is around 3/8 inch steel to 7/16" high quality steel. You do not want to screw up the holes, its a lot of drilling effort to go through both sides of the door, 4 times I went through 5 cordless drill batteries in the process, a powerful corded drill is recommended. Drill the holes about a 1/16" oversize, the bolts are 1/2" diameter, so ensure you either have a step bit, or 9/16" drill bit.If the template was right, I'd give it 3 maybe 4 starts.For the money charged, Grade 8 bolts could be supplied as well, Grade 2 (maybe) Chinese-ium is what was provided.

This is definitely a heavy duty device. Given that you install it properly, it should serve you well. You can find a YouTube video showing installation. One thing for sure that will save you a big headache-make certain that you have the right tools to install it. For example, you need a really powerful drill with the right bit capable of drilling through your container. My battery operated drill was unable to do the work, so I had to rely on the old plug-in Black & Decker drill. You will save some time if you mark your pilot holes first with a metal punch before you drill. And, a stepped drill bit to 5/8” was invaluable. The only other advice I can offer is: don’t purchase your lock until you determine that the shank will fit the hole inside the lock box. And just remember, “locks are for honest people.” But, this is a solid deterrent.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Install was straight forward and easy. Installed on my container in less than an hour. Paint job leaves a little to be desired but who cares, great job guys.

Installed this weekend and solid product and very robust. Install was easy and definitely keeps lock protected and secure.

The loop that passes into the guard was too short to use a beefy lock. I had to cut out a piece of stainless steel to push the part out 1/4". I also agree with another reviewer that the drilling template is way of and the bolts are of unknown quality (and size). I tried buying some new ones and I got the wrong size, so I just used the ones that were included. Other than those shortcomings, the build and paint quality is excellent.

Product was what I expected...Heavy Duty....only issue was the template for drilling holes....marked holes and drilled (should have looked to see if marks lined up with holes before I drilled it...I DID NOT) bottom holes were a half inch too low....ended up having weld it to shipping container. Other then the template issue am really satisfied with it...

Great product and super secure. Just make sure to good sharp drill bits. As others have said, ignore the template and make your own measurements and marks.
