How do I attach the lanyard that came with it?

After reading these answers and not being able to find a safety pin, I used an eyeglass repair tool and was able to pull the loop through. Thank goodness for the suggestions. I wasted far too much time trying to figure it out before coming to this section. Great little fan but lanyard should be easier to install.
