It's amazing how good Funwhole has gotten in a short span of time. Their most recent releases leave Lego in the dust in terms of features, pricing, and design. Who would have thought the corporate giant of the toy world, with such a long history, would get outdone by a little rival?This skate shop set is further proof. As usual with Funwhole's recent releases, the bricks are of the highest quality, as is the manual and box art. There are no stickers, only outstanding prints. The integrated lighting is really nicely done (but requires care because of the fine wires), with different hues creating different moods for different spaces. It's the intricate details and overal design that make this special for fans of modular buildings and for skaters. (The Thrasher font for the cover of the fake skate mag is a nice touch.) There's so much to see and appreciate and enjoy building.The accessibility is well conceived, too: you get the usual lift-off roof and stories, but also swing-out rear panels that allow you to access the rooms while leaving all the lights connected. Hiding the battery box under the ramp is also a nice touch. (Don't worry, you can also run the lights with the included USB-A cable.)Room for improvement? Not really, only minute things: the stop sign is printed ninety degress off from what's shown in the manual, but you can just attach it to a different part of the railing called for in the instructions. Also, it was a missed opportunity to not light up the traffic light.But those are tiny quibbles for such a beautifully conceived and executed set. Top recommendation.

I really like the final product, and the building experience definitely competes with Lego.The Skate shop theme is actually something I’d want to add to my LEGO City, Especially if you’re going for a New York inspired superhero city like me. It’s a nice filler building if you collect LEGO Modular and can appreciate third party building blocks.No stickers, but all great prints. They are textured unlike LEGO’s, but they are still far better then stickers. A few prints aren’t o ok n the correct direction, but it’s just a stop sign and a sewer cover. So you can get away with those. Only complaint on prints.The light kit is easy to install as you build. Personally I could do without them, but it was included so I went with it.Will definitely keep my eyes on this brand for future sets.

Funwhole is really giving the other brick building sets a run for there money.On day one release Funwhole started by offering 25% off which is unheard for this hobby. Throughout Amazon's cyber sale the set was 25 to 30 % off meaning it's an excellent value.The book, and pieces sourced from Go bricks are of great quality and fit tight.There are no stickers in this set which is a bonus. The set comes with 3 minifigures. They are decent, cute, and similar size to lego minifigures so they work to add diversity to my city. Lego minifigures do not come with this set but help with the build.The light kit is amazing and adds value and atmosphere to the build.16+ is age appropriate as the lighting and subject matter might not be child friendly.There are a few hang ups, that don't are very minor. The book has the same face used twice the digital version corrects this.The stop sign is printed sideways on the box it's correct.The build is an odd size for MILS plates. It's 28 by 32. But once again still a five star product.

Not my first FunWhole set, but my first experience with a build that had lighting elements. I was a bit apprehensive starting the build, I didn't know if the lights would be too difficult for me to assemble, but everything went together perfectly. The instruction booklet was very clear and easy to understand. I am accustomed to the Denmark brand of building blocks, and I can honestly say this build experience was as good, and at times better than the well known brand of bricks. The quality of the bricks is excellent, no missing pieces, excellent clear directions, GREAT build experience, and the price for the set was excellent. I really cannot say enough good about this company and the quality of the sets I have purchased so far. Happy customer of FunWhole....whole lotta fun!!!

Clear instructions, amazing detail, amazing screen printing, and great lighting (different color lights for different areas).

This was so much fun to do! Its hard! I got it for my 7 year old but it was too hard so I did it, at 40 years old it took me a while, but I had a lot of fun! Combines perfect with Lego brand legos, we never put backs on our lego city building so the kids can play with them, so I altered the build. I could not get the 2nd floor lights to go on, but since I altered the build it was defiantly my fault....I sent a chat box question to the company on their site and they were amazing at helping me! I really like this company and their sets. Defiantly a fun build!

A really nice build. Lots of detail and I like that the lights are included. There are special lights and bricks that are part of the build.

This is my third FO set, very impressed. Although the wiring for the lights is a little long and creates an eyesore in the back, it's a nice option. The figs are junk and some of the parts have weird cutout edges on them (probably to escape other brand copyrights) but it's not that noticeable. The printing is great and details surpass the leading brand, it's about time we got an actual rival to their quality. I'm waiting for my next set!
