This is an amazing little watercolor tin. I got the half pans option. I especially love that this set comes with little magnets for sticking under the half pans so they don’t slide around in the tin. I bought it because of the Starry Night design, fell in love with just how great of a product this is. I keep both my watercolors and gouache in this tin and I labeled all of the color numbers with a Sharpie so I can keep track of my different colors/brands in the same tin.

This is a really cute little box. Though I probably won’t put my watercolor in this tin because there isn’t a palette on the back of the lid for mixing paint. It looks like stainless steel. What made me buy this was one, the art work by Van Gogh, (my favorite artist) and that it comes with 40 half pans with the magnets on the bottom. I searched for half pans with magnets and they are actually a bit pricey. I want to use the half pans from this tin to put extra pans of color down the centers of my other metal palettes.I will definitely find a use for this tin as it is sturdy and really adorable.

After coming across this on Amazon looking for something else, it was just what I needed. Having recently purchased another travel painter's box that had pre-filled half pans, I hesitated. Yet I had tubes of watercolor paints that needed a home and trays to fill. After reading the reviews, I clicked to buy button. So with that being said, I must say I absolutely love this painter's travel tin! You can add as many trays as you like using the magnets or you can leave open spaces as another reviewer noted. I rarely post a review - but this purchase was worth the time to review it!

Great watercolor palette for the price - 40 half pans with magnets already attached to keep them from moving about. Surprisingly small for 40 half pans, should be easy to carry about, lid closes tightly. 3.5" wide, 6.75" length. Will purchases again as needed.

The tins are really hard to open. Some of the half pans I recieved we either cracked or chipped at the corners. And on top of that, I was missing 3 half pans (these are not counting the broken ones. Everything else was fine. I dont think Im would order again since I was ripoed off. So annoying!

First: Heavy metal. Second: lid stays on firmly. Third: Half pans come with magnet bottoms and they do NOT move easily. I scratched the front top so the box stays upward. The pans will not fall out freely. A small "tap" and I was satisfied that they shall remain fixed to bottom. After shopping I believe I have the best item, the strongest built item and at the best price of all. If I need another box, it will be another one of these. That good!

Great item, but I didn't appreciate the fact that I had to literally assemble it, piece by piece. You have to peel the sticky back off of each teeny tiny magnetic sticker and line it up on each individual plastic pot, then attach it to the pan. This may sound petty, but it takes time when you have to do it 40 times, especially with quivering fine motor nerve damage in your hands. Thankfully, I wasn't short on any pieces. It seems like laziness on the part of the manufacturer.The little pots fit well into the tin, and as other reviews have stated, the inside of the tin is metal, so you'll need to paint it if you want to mix colors on it.

I love this palette! It comes with half pans but for now I’m not using them. I have multiple different handmade/handmulled Watercolors from ETSY that I wanted to put together. They are both half and full pans and this is perfect for them.
