Simpler Hair Color for Men - Full Gray Coverage Dye Kit, Dark Brown

I have tried soooo many beard dyes over this last year, even those that say they won’t irritate your skin or leave red rash etc. but those and all others have left my face irritated, and it with a weird color that doesn’t match what it says. This Simpler hair dye is Amazing!!! Zero face or skin irritation, and the color is spot on, I even follow the time frames they give to leave in to I can achieve darker when left in longer or keep a little salt and pepper when left in for about 5 or so mins less. Plus the brush applicator works so perfect, and the single bottle last for a Ton of applications on my particular beard and takes but a minute or two to apply. Finally have found the product I’ll be using forever moving forward to keeps some sense of youth LOL Thank you for a great product finally that works perfect for me and makes a bit younger I apply it. Product is great! BUT they need to make this in 2 separate canisters because a lot of the time the white cream comes out and the dye doesn’t or vice versa it’s actually annoying! for the price it should be much better way to mix these

I’ve tried just about every type of beard and hair dye out there. I’ve used the brush-in dyes that you have to mix in a bowl and time perfectly so they don’t turn your face purple. I’ve used the shampoo dyes you rub in dry and the ones you apply to wet hair in the shower. I’ve even tried the hair darkening bars. While I don’t think a perfect hair and beard dyeing solution exists, Simpler is the best I’ve used. Let me explain why. For starters, you don’t need to mix anything. The dye and developer come out of the can together; you apply it straight to the brush, and comb it into your hair or beard. It’s also nice that I can do my beard and hair at the same time if I need to - it’s designed for both. Whatever they put in this product is easier on my skin than other dyes I’ve used. I’ve never really had any major reactions to any dyes, but Simpler causes little to no skin irritation for me, and some other products itch for a day or two after use. I can control the shade by leaving the dye in longer, without worrying about staining my face. And the result is quite natural-looking. As I mentioned, it’s not perfect, but I haven’t found a dye that is. Most dyes, including this one, don’t work well on very short sections of beard or stubble. So if you want to get fancy with your beard and really mow down the sideburns, you won’t see great results on the stubble - at least I never do. But follow the directions and you shouldn’t be disappointed. And if you happen to have a problem, I can say Simpler’s customer service is quite good. I had a defective can once (the developer wouldn’t evenly dispense), and they quickly replaced it at no cost. Speaking of cost, it’s reasonably priced. Ounce for ounce, it costs about the same as the kits you buy at the store, but I believe you can get a better deal by signing up for a subscription service on their website.

I’ve purchased this for the last 2 years and it’s the best beard dye on the market, hands down. Very easy to work with and since I’m only doing my beard, I’ll get several uses out of one can. The reason for talking off a star has to do with the product container itself. The last three deliveries all had issues. 1- was leaking all over the inside of the bag when I opened it. I had to warm this can before using it and only had 80% of the product come out. The next two all had feed issues. Initially the product came out evenly and it hasn’t been like that in a while. The last one squirted the white side for a minute before the color came out. The other was just the opposite. Color coming out and the other took a while. In both cases the bottom of the can still had product that could be used 1-2 more times. When you pay $40 for beard dye, you want to get every last drop out. Recently that hasn’t been the case. This doesn’t affect me purchasing again, it’s just disheartening to see this, like all good products on amazon, take a down turn once they start doing well.

UPDATE: after my initial one star review the company reached out to me and refunded my money. They said they feel I got a defective can. That impressed me. So I went ahead and purchased this again. And sure enough this second can worked just like in the videos, dispensed an equal amount of both color and white foam. Though from reading other reviews, it appears they have a lot of defective cans go out the door. The reason for only three stars after the second can is that, even when it works, it’s not a very long lasting color. Little over a week and the color is already fading. I will get multiple applications out of this new can now that it’s dispensing correctly. But I’m not sure I like how frequently I have to use it. My hair and beard color are constantly swinging from dark right after applying it to light right before I need to reapply it. So I can’t really maintain a consistent color for any length of time. I’m using the dark brown color and my hair and beard both are very grey. YMMV Original review follows: Does not work!!! Read my other reviews. I mostly give 5 stars. Or 2's or 3's if I am dissatisfied. To get a one star review from me you have to be a borderline scam. And THAT is precisely what I am saying about this non-refundable product. Dispenser only dispenses white foam despite "firmly pressing" as shown in instructions. After about half the bottle is wasted, you will eventually get some tint as well. But not enough to activate the product. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking the same thing I was thinking before I bought it, "well....you're just not doing it right". Trust me.....there is no "right way". I don't care how "firmly" you press that button - or if you shake it - or what angle you hold it - it does not dispense color until several seconds of spewing out tons of nothing but white foam. There's no trick. It just plum doesn't work. The only "trick" is the promotional videos tricking you into thinking it actually works. It doesn't It was only after dumping about 3/4 of the white foam in the trash that I was able to get a 50/50 mix as shown in the instructions. Which did work for coloring my hair and beard. But basically - you are paying four times the money for a one time use product. And time will tell how long that "one time" actually holds up. When it fades, I've got nothing left to back it up. Look, most men are capable enough to measure out equal amounts of two liquids and mix them together. Too bad they had to try and be "Simpler" and invent this non-functioning bottle that fails to do the one simple task it was designed to do. The product may very well be a good hair coloring agent (we'll see about that). But for the money you spend, to only get a single application is borderline criminal! If you ignore this review - I promise you WILL remember it after trying this product. And wish you would have heeded my warning: HIT THE BACK BUTTON NOW - BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

It’s an excellent product that works as described. No problems with irritations no smell like the other products very good product. I would definitely order it again and it comes in a big tube and you could definitely get probably anywhere between five and 10 applications.

This product is a scam! Do not buy this product! This is my 3rd bottle and they all behave the same. They designed the nozzle to dispense less color base, which makes the product less effective. They have a nice little snake oil scam going. You end up using more activator which leads to less strength coloring that only last a week if you are lucky. You then end up ordering more of this supper overpriced product and spend more time using it then needing it. Of course Amazon won't help with a replacement. This product should not be sold on amazon. Think about this, if this product was not a scam, they would be selling it at retail stores. Reason why they don't, because retailers know people would be demanding a refund from the snake oil. Also, they BS excuse of the nozzle getting clogged and use a pin to free the clog. Again, that is a lie. It has be engineered to not dispense equal amounts. This company needs to be reported to a consumer agency. But good luck with that, now that we are living in the Wild Wild West. These snake oil salesmen are free to rip consumers off. Don't believe me. Look at all the white activator that was dispensed.
