I got this to hold some writing supplies and notebooks for writing on the go. I'd been eyeing similar cases and liked the look of this one.The wood is very lightweight and doesn't feel super sturdy, and the latch is a bit flimsy, so if you're not careful it can be bent out of alignment. I just make sure to look as I latch it and it has not been a problem since. I also don't think I am likely to be banging this around in any way that is likely to damage the wood, and it's been strong enough to write on without any issues. Just things to consider.The shoulder strap feels nice and sturdy, however, and is adjustable in length.The inside contains various spots for holding pens or pencils. Scrap pieces of paper. And the wooden piece that can be used to prop this up or organize the inside I guess?So far the pen holder spots are holding up well and hold my fountain pens securely. It's not quite large enough inside for a full-size notebook, but A5 and similar size notebooks fit well.The size is good for using as a writing surface. Even for full-size notebooks/paper. The little ledge at the bottom helps keep things from sliding down. The texture might make it challenging if using a single piece of loose paper, however.Overall, I think this is a nice case. It looks cool and is functional. I think the price is probably fair for what it is as well.
