Subtle sandalwood
I have tried a LOT of incense sticks with different scents, all from different companies- from Nag champa to bright boxes of Hem. I wasn't satisfied with my Sandalwood- scented collection. So, I ordered this one (I use this company's soap bar and thought the incense can't be THAT bad).😝 I checked my local Indian store and it was a dollar more than what is advertised here. So I ordered it from Amazon. It arrived on time and neatly packed. Even before I burnt it, I was quite impressed with the sheer quality of each stick. I was thick and VERY well made. The surface was SMOOTH which I am not used to see with incense from other brands. When I burnt it finally after admiring its 'beauty', I was floored with the scent- it's AWESOME!! Smells like the incense I remember from temples in India.. Simply divine and it does subtly smell like sandalwood. It's not a strong scent though but I am not complaining as I am happy with what I got. I will continue with my search for an incense that smells EXACTLY like sandalwood but in the meantime, this is good. I will definitely be buying more & I will recommend/ gift to a friend too! Thanks for reading 😃

Surprisingly good!
I find it cute that while they call it the Mysore brand, the box specifies the sandalwood comes from the REGION where finest sandalwood grow, but NOT actually FROM Mysore. ;) From my research Mysore sandalwood is strictly controlled & would be very difficult to find on the market anyway. Nonetheless, this incense has a very pleasant, sweet and woody scent. It also doesn't produce the black, acrid smoke that turned me off incenses years ago. The scent also lasts for a while even after the incense burns out. I never timed the burn time (whoops, if I do that later, I'll come back to update this) but it's surprisingly long. Normally I prefer the core-less incense (like the Japanese brand Nippon Kodo's Morning Star incense line), but this has become my favorite. FYI, I found the scent is pretty close to Nippon Kodo's Morning Star sandalwood incense. I would definitely give this one a try.

It is good but no great !
The aroma is ok but it has a thick black smoke and though the smell is sandalwood, somehow I expected better. I'd overall rate it good for the price but I am still looking for a good sandalwood incense that is more close to the natural smell of sandalwood. It is one of my favorite aromas nature has to offer.

Mysore Sandal Incense-Wonderful Smell
I bought this because one day I walked into a neighborhood store and the owners had this incense burning. I asked about it told them I loved the smell, so tranquil and light and the wife went to the back and return with 10 sticks for me to have. Before I ran out of the 10 sticks I look it on amazon and found them. I returned later with 10 sticks for her, but her husband said not to worry it was a gift. I am so happy that I found them here. Great price, huge quantity. Will buy more. happy customer :)

Lacking Aroma
I was hoping to replace some wonderful sandalwood incense I got in Mysore. Alas, this product has hardly any aroma. If you put your nose in the smoke you can smell it, but it leaves no scent in the room. For me it was a waste of money. Perhaps the batch I got was very old.

Very light, subtle and not to Smokey which Is what I wanted
I really enjoyed this product because of its lightness, smoothness and softness. I usually get headaches from incense, but this was quite smooth and light and not too Smokey, which is exactly what I wanted. If you want something strong and bold then this is not for you . I would highly recommend.

Very strong incense
Very strong incense. I smelled this type in Mysore, India and some temples, but I am not a fan. I believe it is chemically enhance. When you light the incense you get very black smoke. Most other Sandal wood incense other other types - usually is white smoke

This product is manufactured in Mysore , India and exported to USA. This company is importing from USA and billing you for Transport from INDIA to USA to India plus customs duty in India. Does it sound crazy? yes. Totally unbelievable. And on top of it, it is not mentioned anywhere in the product description. The cost is just Rs.325 in Indian market but you are charged Rs.2315/= ! atrocious. Don't get cheated please.
