I was pleasantly surprised unboxing by how much value this metal detector offers at his price point. It's a quality entry-level tool that's perfect for newbies. The analog dial is simple and satisfying to use, giving it a classic feel that I actually enjoy more than digital screens and the speaker makes the detection sound exciting. It took about 2 minutes to assemble and it comes with a quality shovel head & a camouflage belt-case that can be quickly attached for digging. The forearm rest balances the generally light detector making walking and searching easy to do. The carrying case nicely stores the unit and it is also easy to carry and store.The adjustable height makes it comfortable for both adults and the kids, and the waterproof coil opens up tons of possibilities—from beachcombing to treasure hunting in the park or forest. I was able to detect coins and small metal objects even buried several inches deep.For home projects this should be handy for feeling out an area for buried wires and pipes that are too close to the surface-a foot deep is the max depth however one can use the sensor as one digs a trench etc. so as to always avoid wires and pipes!The youngsters are already planning a treasure hunting day at the beach or one of the nearby parks. Fun item!

Setting up the metal detector was a breeze. It even comes with 2 9V batteries! Metal detector is simple and lightweight. Works as expected and it is very easy to use! Doing a quick sweep of my backyard and found some rusted nails under the grass that my roofer left a few years ago.Would definitely recommend it!

Cool! Got it as a gift for my son, and he loves it. Added bonus is that it comes with a case/bag and shovel. I also loved the fact it came with the batteries.

Just wanted something simple it works for what I need it for.

I bought this to help me find lost horseshoes. I didn’t expect to need it often, so bought the less expensive option. It was easy to assemble, and easy to use. I found a lost shoe in 10 minutes—buried in the mud. I also got a “hit” on something in the pasture, below the surface. I want back with a shovel and found an ox shoe, guesstimated to be from the 1940’s, about six inches down.
