Revolution R180 Connect Plus Smart Toaster with Touchscreen – Choose from 40+ Bread Types, 7 Browning Levels, & Toastie Press Mode – Digital Picture Frame, Weather Widget, and Clock

It’s a fantastic toaster! You can adjust settings for your doneness preferences and it works great!!

Yes this is an expensive toaster, but making perfect toast or bagels in the morning is important to me. Compared to other top of the line and similarly priced toasters (like Dualit, Wolf, Smeg, etc), the R180 Connect Plus has some great unique features, including the photo frame where I can see my family and dog photos, current weather which I like to see before I leave the house in the morning, and the ability to receive over the air software updates when new features become available. Best of all, it has great toasting performance due to the preprogrammed bread types. I never burn anything, and I don’t have to pop the toast up to check if it is over toasted or not toasted enough. Everything pretty much comes out exactly as I set it for. And I also should add that it makes great panini sandwiches with the toastie press. Sure I can make toast with a $30 unit, but this is a luxury product with features that are worthwhile to me. I also used to think this was too much to pay for a toaster until I started using one that our office purchased. I was hooked!

If anyone would have told me I would pay $400 for a toaster I would have called them crazy . But here we are. It’s nice to see the weather each morning and pictures of my dog ! Oh and it makes good toast .. so yeah it’s a cool splurge .

The absolute best toaster I have ever owned. A bit pricey, but well worth the cost. Love the output and controls screen. I also bought the pannini press attachment separately and just love it. Makes the best grilled sandwiches.

This toaster is awful. It has burned every single item I have put in it. I have given it a really good try too. Tried it on the lowest setting, tried different settings and no matter what it burns. Forget frozen waffles altogether. No matter what you try, you will always get a burnt on one half on one side and frozen on one half. I went through an entire box and they were all tossed. Not to mention it takes longer than a regular $20 toaster. Which I just bought in place of this $400 piece of garbage that is basically a digital picture frame.

$400 for a toaster seems a bit silly but I do love this thing. I uploaded some basic art to the gallery feature, connected it to my Wi-Fi to show my local weather, and the clock syncs with my local time (no more needing to update another clock manually). Some common questions I had when looking at this. This version does have a gluten-free mode and has a ton of bread types. Not all bread types are supported in the Gluten Free mode but there are still more options than the nonsmart "270" which had fewer bread types according to the reading on it. There is no app for this device when you want to upload the images you scan a QR code and do it from your mobile device. Outside of that, the performance for my bread has been quite good for toasting I run it at around a 4 for my thin cuts that's my personal taste.

I wanted to love this toaster. I've owned the Revolution R180B for just over three years. For the first two years, it worked well enough. The touchscreen is fun, but it's more of a novelty than a necessity, and the different bread settings don't seem to produce noticeably different results. Unfortunately, one of the browning elements has now failed. The toaster still heats both sides, but it only toasts one. A frozen waffle, for example, comes out browned on one side while the other remains cold. Customer service was courteous and walked me through several troubleshooting steps, but nothing solved the problem. Since the toaster is out of warranty, they offered a $100 credit toward a new one. Considering I already spent over $300 on the original and a replacement now costs around $450, spending roughly $650 on toasters in just over three years isn't reasonable. I even asked about exchanging it for a refurbished unit, but they declined. For a premium appliance, I expected much better durability. I won't be buying another Revolution toaster and will instead invest in a quality traditional toaster that I expect to last far longer.

Huge shoutout to the Consumer Care Team for making things right. Thank you RevCook! I love my R180 Connect Plus Revolution Toaster so much! It really adds a nice touch to my kitchen as it slideshows all the wonderful and fun moments that I’ve captured on camera, it’s nice to see some of those photos being displayed on the toaster’s screen while I’m in the kitchen. The toaster does an exceptional job getting the right toast on my bread and it’s very quick to do so too! Always looking forward to toasting some bread on it! I don’t regret buying this toaster. Highly recommend it.
