Not high art but that's the point
Great little book oriented towards the workaday needs of a professional photographer or model, or those who aspire to that living. Rather than dwelling on theory it takes a "here's a pose, go and shoot it" approach. The book is very sensibly structured around today's photography market: female client wants fitness photos? here's some ideas. No doubt in five years time the genres will be horribly dated but for today it works just fine. As an amateur photographer I am asked by my 'sitters' how to or can you recommend a certain type of pose, with this book there are multiple poses to suit all types in many different situations, I have found it useful on many occasions to give it to a potential 'sitter' prior to the action of the shoot, it saves me time and helps the subject decide what they can contribute to the finished article.

Young beautiful people, not so much for other groups.
Well presented publication, relevant if your interest is largely about young beautiful people. I was hoping for more about everyday people either as singles or in groups. On reflection this is probably a different topic, so be aware.

Don't think - Just buy!!
If you're into photography and learning to use models - this is a Bible! I bought this whilst i was learning to work with models and sometims when the people were nervous, i even let them use the book and decide which ones they wanted to try and ease their nerves. Brilliant book and i highly recommend to everyone.

Problem solved
I've started taking portraits only to realise I know nothing about posing. This book solves that problem.

Ok, a little over rated.
From other reviews, I thought this was going to be a good book. It was fine, although smaller than I expected. It just didn't have enough for me compared with books that I already had, so I returned it. It's not a book you could give to a prospective model in advance of a shoot and say, which poses do you like? It's general, not specialist enough for say model's poses.

Amazing buy
This book has EVERYTHING! I mean engagement, couples, boudoir, regular poses, fashion, odd ones too. I find it's a great resource and has been really helpful. There's a lot of poses for Male, females or both!

Exactly what I needed
I really like this book. Well written, well thought out, easy to use right out of the gate. Can’t wait to put it to the test on a photo session. I like the size too. Easy for “on the go”.

Buen libro para los que empezamos con temas de fotografía y que buscamos ideas para tomar fotografías de personas. Está padre la división de temas, ya sea poses de mujeres, hombres, niños, familia, etc. También hay buenas explicaciones sobre lo que puedes y no debes de hacer.
