Ripley’s Believe It or Not! 2019

Given the great reviews and write-up, I bought this for my 8 year old step-daughter for Christmas. I had a look at the book when it arrived to check it was suitable and I'm very glad I did. One of the first images I saw was a severed human head in a jar and then a mask made of human skin. There were also several other disturbing images which would have given my step-daughter nightmares for months. I'm sure there are some kids that would not be bothered and would love the gruesome pictures, but if you have a child that is on the sensitive side and could be prone to bad dreams etc, then I wouldn't recommend it. I returned the book and got a refund.

Bought a few of these now. They are a great alternative or extra for fans of the Guiness Book of Records. Full of weird and wonderful facts, some of which you won’t believe. Good fun to read.

What an excellent read! This book is not only informative, it is also a fun read. My son loves paging through it. I love that it contains so much information, without any one piece being too long to get boring

I haven’t read this, bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter who wanted it after we’d visited the Museum. I expect she will be quite thrilled.

Makes a great Xmas present for a nine year old.

All the children and adults have hours of entertainment with this book. We buy the latest edition every year. a must have for our family library.

This is a great book for older children. I bought it for my 9 year old nephew, but some of the content was too gruesome so decided to give it to my older nephew of 12 years.

Bought this for a Christmas present for my son who was nearly 7 at the time, he loves it!
