These magnetic tiles were a great buy! They’re well made, the magnets are strong, and the pieces hold together nicely while building. There are endless possibilities for what kids can create, so it’s something they can come back to again and again without getting bored. It’s a great way to encourage creativity, imagination, and hands-on play. I would definitely recommend these for kids ages 5 and up!

Five stars because right out of the box much fun was had by adults present a the time, however, expecting some grandchildren (that this Magnet Pyramid Stone I Billion Shapes was actually purchased for) might find it a bit frustrating when magnets don't hold and builds must be handled gently and not bumped if one hopes to keep it from falling apart. Also, the stand kept falling apart, but we suspect a little dab of super glue in a couple of tiny corners will take care of that and we didn't want to dock any points for such a wonderfully thought up toy! Very engaging and the few issues would be so easily taken care of with just a little care and a bit of super glue....however not sure in it's present stage I can highly recommend for gift-giving because of the magnets not holding very strongly and the stand that kept falling apart. I hope these issues will be improved upon in the future because this is a wonderful idea and so much fun to do!

This is a fun toy that sparks creativity. There are so many things you can create with just a few shapes. I got the glow variety that comes with its own flashlight. I wish the was a little bigger. It does well lighting the pieces but only small bits at a time and the glow effect wears off before you can light up the whole piece. If you have a black light flashlight, it works better. The base is also not as stable and doesn’t work to display all creations but it’s nice for the creations that are balanced. This has been a good fidget for my neurodivergent kid. When she needs time to process, having something that brings out her creative side helps a lot.

We bought this for my son’s 10th birthday and he absolutely loves playing with it. The pieces are really satisfying to handle and play with, without being too heavy. One thing I wish I’d realized before ordering is that the “243” refers to the number of magnetic points, not 243 individual pieces. There are actually 12 pieces in the box. The description does state this correctly, so this was my misunderstanding, but between seeing 243 and the box saying you can make “1 billion shapes,” I was definitely expecting more pieces! That said, we’re really happy with the toy itself and my son has gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. I just wanted to mention the piece count because it’s something I would have liked to know at a glance when I was shopping.

IT's okay. Does what it says somewhat adequately, the stands are pretty weak but technically usable. Cool concept, surprisingly great execution, extremely lightweight, plasticky feel, highly questionable durability, bargain-basement materials (or it feels like it, they might be expensive, I have no idea). I bring these things up because: (1) The ultra cheap-feeling (and cheap-appearing, but maybe that's only the holographic glow-in-the-dark version which I bought that looks so bad in person) materials seem too fragile to play with; and (2) for the price, I had assumed the pieces would be of better-than-average quality (or at least comparable) to alternatives in the puzzle/fidget toy category (These feel far too fragile for younger kids, or any pets obviously). For the common sale prices there are name-brand products with magnets that actually grip and materials that feel solid enough to let a kid play with it rather than a display-only item. Even at the discounted ~15 bucks each, it feels way too overpriced for the quality. If this company upgrades their next generation, I will 100% be purchasing it again. Or, slash it down to ~5 bucks so the expectation of quality will be more in-line with the quality. To be clear, not a single piece of this has broken on me or been defective so far, though I have barely touched it. If you want it for a specific shape or display, it will probably be a great purchase.

6/23/26 I bought the single box of 12 pieces of the “glow.” As you see in the video, it looks like the shape is glowy even without the special light. But that’s just because my phone was really picking up what little light was in the room. So you take the little keychain sized light, and whatever part of the shape that you put the light on, that part will be glowy for several seconds. It was very fun for the 11-year-old in the family to figure out what shapes could be made. I do wish that the manufacturers had glued together the three pieces that make up the base. As it is, they are magnetized together, and the three pieces can come apart easily, as well as whatever shape you make. So I wouldn’t really recommend this for children under age 6, because you do have to have somewhat of a gentle touch with it. But for older kids like 8 to 12, I think that they could find it quite fun, at least for the first couple of hours. When I am reading a book aloud, I like for other people to have something to do with their fingers as they are listening to me, and this fits the bill nicely.

This is amazing, got given one of these as a present but the rock one and decided to get this too so there was more options of things to make they are both great but this glow in the daft one is spectacular! You use the torch and can make patterns then it shines super bright and fades so you can do it again, never expected it to be this great it’s awsome! Would recommend 1000% and the colours even without the light are great too. Good for any age.
