I recently got these furniture anchors for earthquake proofing, and I’m really pleased with them. Compared to others I’ve looked at, I like that the cable on these anchors is much thicker, which gives me extra confidence in their strength and durability. I used them to secure a tall bookshelf in my daughter’s room. The process was straightforward with the included stainless steel straps, anchors, screws, plugs.These anchors are made from stainless steel, which is sturdier than the more common iron options, making them very reliable. They’re designed to handle the weight of various furniture pieces like dressers, bookshelves, and cabinets, providing stable protection wherever needed in your home—from the nursery to the living room.

I bought these to help prevent my special needs son from pulling a shelf down, and so far two of the wires have broke from him tugging on the shelf.

The steel braid is plenty strong enough on its own, my concern was the clasp but it’s very sturdy. The hardware will probably fail before the cable does. It comes with drywall anchors and depending on your application they may be enough but I used my own 2-3/4” #8 drywall screws to anchor the bracket into studs and the shelf easily supported a few test pull-ups (160lbs) leaning on the anchor.

Small but love that there’s multiple anchors. My cat keeps jumping at my 8ft anthropology mirror and this is exactly what I needed to keep everyone safe

I have purchased other products inntbrboast that were straps to keep furniture from being tipped over. I can say without a doubt that these units were easier to install, easier to adjust, easier to remove when required and far less obvious as the thin metal wires are loss visible then thick straps.If I need more furniture secured, I will stick to these cable type retention units as they are superior in my opinion. I am of course unable to speak to the strength of the metal cables over the strap versions, but because it is so much easier to adjust the metal cables, I am able to make them a lot tighter which means the furniture they are securing shoukd be harder to move from their static position.Less motion means less force on the retainers. So I think these will hold just fine.

Fits fairly flush so you can get close to the wall. I liked the cable that screws together making it easier to install and remove
