Power Watchdog PWD30, Bluetooth Surge Protector, 30 Amp, Portable, 14 Inch

So I hate it when people write reviews when they get something straight out of the box. I have had my Watchdog for 2 years and 3 months. I just had a problem with it and I was showing an open neutral but there was no actual issue with electricity. I reached out to their contact person and looked for guidance and they had me put in a warranty claim. Within a few hours of submission they provided me with a UPS tracking number and they were shipping me a NEW one! Absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service! I have had it alert me to power issues and I am able to keep an eye on power consumption. Easy to set up and use and despite the issue I had I feel that is is built to high quality standards and I can’t say enough positive about their customer service and how responsive they have been. At some point this one will die and I have no doubt which manufacturer I will choose. I am now a customer for life!

We use this with the confidence that our trailer electrical is protected from power pedestal issues. Love that we connect this to our phones via bluetooth and monitor our electricity usage and status of system. The only negative is the watchdog face is bright at night. Have read that some of taken the cover off and unplugged the power to the watchdog face so that it does not light up. The plugs are tight and take some strength to unplug trailer cord from the device.It is better to be tight than loose. Highly recommend if you have a travel trailer or RV.

Works, I guess. So did my old one too. Still can’t log onto the WiFi. Bluetooth works, I can see how much power I’m drawing. The only problem is everytime you open the app you have to re-log in. Soooooo annoying. I paid $352 for this and I think it’s going back.But on the plus side, this is a well made surge protector. Very durable and it lights up, plus you can lock it.

I purchased a cheaper surge protector for my RV that had to be returned. It showed errors on 3 different campsites electrical boxes on 50 amp service. Using a meter to check voltage all 3 sites were within standard. The watchdog surge protector is pricey but worth the money!!!

I can't say enough good things about this surge protector. It is really easy to use and pair protects the camper and it is fun to watch the watts tick up.

The unit functioned as expected although I have not had any conditions that would cause the unit to shut off. I like the app integration and it reports basic information about each line. I can't hear any noise and build quality is great. The unit is a bit pricy but money well spent for my wants/needs.I took away one star because: 1) the application would not reconnect to the device without restarting the application. Not a big deal, and 2) the output recepticle is not protected from the weather and sometimes will be laying on the ground. It would be better to have the recepticle in a housing that could shield the plug from the weather.This is a big improvement over the cheap unit it replaced. I have far more confidence in it's abiity to protect my RV.

This is the best surge protector on the market in my opinion. You'll love it. LOCK IT UP!
