Great upgrade from gaming chairs: comfy, supportive, stylish, and incredible value
I've been using "gaming" chairs for the past 6 years, and the Colamy Hina is my first proper ergonomic chair. Honestly, I'm really pleased with it. At first, I had doubts — mainly about how the mesh would feel and whether the seat would be comfortable — but it’s exceeded expectations. Here's a breakdown of my experience so far: Mesh Quality: Feels great. It's not plasticky or rough like I feared. It’s breathable and holds up well. Back Support: There’s an S-curve lumbar support. It’s not overly aggressive, so it doesn’t dig into your back, but still helps maintain good posture. I do wish it sat a bit higher, but it still feels great overall. Seat Comfort: Coming from bulky gaming chairs, the seat initially felt small — but it’s adjustable and extends fully, which worked well for me. It's firm, not plush, but surprisingly comfortable even for long sessions (I sit at my desk 5–10 hours a day). Posture + Lounging: I bought this to help with posture, and it’s definitely helping. That said, I also like to lean back and lounge, and this chair holds up effortlessly even with full weight on the backrest and my feet up. It's solid and sturdy. Mobility: I have carpet flooring and the chair rolls easily when I want it to, but stays in place when I don't — perfect balance. Desk Fit: My desk is quite low (70cm), so I keep the chair and armrests at their lowest. No issues — I still maintain good posture and leg comfort. Flexibility: I like to sit cross-legged or with one leg tucked under me — this chair allows for that easily. The separated armrests and extendable seat give you a lot of freedom to shift around. Extra Use – Sim Racing: I occasionally do casual sim racing at my desk. I was unsure how this chair would handle it, but it’s actually more comfortable than my old gaming chair — and the breathable mesh helps a lot during long/hot sessions. Looks: The design is sleek and modern. I went for the black base with metallic supports, and it fits in beautifully with my setup. It adds a clean, stylish touch to the room without looking too “office-y.” Value for Money: After reading tons of reviews and professional viewpoints, it became clear that most good ergonomic chairs tend to cost upwards of £500. This chair, especially being a newer release from Colamy, is incredibly impressive for around £200 (on discount). You get a lot of adjustability, comfort, and build quality for a fraction of the usual cost. Final Thoughts: Fantastic value, premium feel, and a huge upgrade in comfort and support, especially if you're switching from a gaming chair. Highly recommend it if you want ergonomic benefits without spending a fortune.

Solid and comfy chair for home office afternoons
I required a decent chair for my compact home office, as I’ve been working longer hours from home and couldn’t tolerate another low-cost compromise that would affect my back. This chair has proven to be reliable. It’s evident that it’s made to endure – it’s fairly heavy but moves smoothly thanks to the durable wheels. Putting it together was straightforward, with clear instructions provided, even for someone who isn’t particularly handy with DIY tasks. The lumbar support is excellent, offering just the right amount of firmness without being excessive. I also value the sliding seat feature, which allows me to sit comfortably without the edge pressing against the backs of my knees – something that used to be a significant irritation with my previous chair. That said, the armrest adjustments could be a little more secure, as they tend to shift quite easily, but this is a minor detail. My back and neck now feel noticeably better after hours of sitting and working. Very satisfied.

Mostly good - needs a softer lumbar support
I just built it now - feels comfortable and sturdy, which is great. I am 6'1" and the headrest feels slightly low when sitting up, but it is the right height when I tilt the chair and lean back. The tilt works ok - clicks into some preset positions or you can leave it loose which is also comfortable if you lean back. The seat is padded, heavy and comfortable. One negative I noticed right away - the lumbar support has no padding. Depending on how heavily you sit back, this can dig into your back. Perhaps the manufacturer should include some foam padding or sleeve for this, or the purchaser can pad their own lumbar support.

Comfortable and reliable office chair
I can confidently say it is truly one of the most comfortable office chairs I’ve used. Assembling it was straightforward, with each part fitting together smoothly without any hassle. The adjustable lower back support and movable armrest design provide excellent comfort for extended periods at a desk, while the sliding seat ensures even weight distribution without causing discomfort behind the knees, an issue I’ve encountered with cheaper chairs in the past. I often find myself sitting at my desk for long stretches, juggling work projects and assisting my children with their school assignments. This chair has become quite reliable during those hours. The breathable mesh material enhances comfort, making it suitable for sitting for prolonged periods. Additionally, the sturdy build inspires confidence in its durability. One minor issue I have noticed is that the armrest pads can shift a bit too easily at times; however, this doesn’t truly compromise the chair’s comfort or functionality. For those needing good support during demanding workdays, this chair performs admirably in that regard!

Comfy ergonomic chair
Comfortable, ergonomic and good looking chair. The assembly process is super easy as it basically arrives as 4 big components rather than dozen of small ones, instructions are clear and tools are provided. The chair itself is ergonomic, very adjustable and solid. This is probably the first chair where I found horizontally adjustable armrest to be comfortable and not flimsy, they just stay in place until you actually want to move them. The chair is a good rival for chairs that cost several times more than it does. Probably the only small downside is the lack of headrest but you can buy any "universal" headrest, a couple of L shaped brackets and add it in as the chair was actually designed to be with a headrest and has mounting points at the back under the top bar.

Hello everyone, I just want to start off by saying if you’re thinking about buying this chair, don’t think any further and just buy it. As most of you have probably seen from reviews that this chair is easily comparable to some of the big economic chair manufacturers. I love all the adjustability on this chair. The headrest is so comfortable and can be positioned to support your head when sitting straight up. The seat cushion is comfortably firm, which is very important when looking to sit ergonomically. Also, there’s no need to worry about sinking in and eventually hitting the bottom plastic. The armrests are adjustable in every way and are actually very comfortable. I see some YouTubers saying that they wish the armrest were a little more plush, but to be honest, I like them the way they are. The one thing I would like to see in the future is adjustable tension on the armrest as sometimes you move them forward, back and side to side by accident. Absolutely no complaints about the seat, depth adjustment or the backrest tilt. Also, the chair can be adjusted quite high and low. Now onto the assembly. They couldn’t make it any easier. All the pieces come completely separate and are organized by the steps. It took me maybe 15 minutes to assemble. If you are planning on doing it by yourself when attaching the wheel assembly/strut to the chair, you can leave the chair tilted upside down and just put the post in it. Afterwards, slowly, tilt the chair over and then sit on it. Lastly, the first thing I noticed when assembling was how high the quality of the components are there is no way anything is breaking and it’s backed by a three-year warranty. I really hope this information helps. Happy sitting folks!

I bought this based on a lot of recommendations from YouTube. I have to say that it lives up to the hype. It's a very solid and comfortable chair. I have a sit/stand desk, but I am still using this chair for probably 2/3rds of the day. I'm not sure you could find a better chair at double the price of this one. I would highly recommend it. Only two small complaints. The headrest feels useless to me, if that is important to you. And, the armrests move side to side too easily. I wish there were a way to lock them down. There is a mechanism to lock the up/down adjustment, but not for the side-to-side adjustment. It's a minor gripe for me and I still love the chair overall.

I've only had this chair for a couple days, but so far, I must say, I am impressed. First of all, it came packaged very nice and sturdy with very easy instructions to follow. It seems like a quality item that goes way beyond a home office chair, which is what I'm using it for. The chair is firm, but very comfortable when properly adjusted. Now all I can hope for is that it holds up to years of service. Would recommend.

This chair is the most comfortable and supportive chair I have ever sat in. I have back issues, so the lumbar support is essential for me. Multiple adjustment feature makes it comfortable for anyone. Solid, sturdy chair. That said, I am most impressed with the EASY instructions and step by step labeled packaging of assembly bolts. Tool included! Definitely recommend!!!

It's a very high quality and comfortable chair, however it has some annoying flaws. Lots of reviews here and on YouTube already cover the positives, so I'm going to focus on the issues you might have. The biggest miss is definitely the seat depth adjustment, it's range is simply not good enough. Anyone above 5ft10 is going to find it lacking, it really needs an extra two or three inches of range. The lumbar support isn't fantastic. It barely hits the right spot for me, I think if you are above 6ft2 or above 6ft and overweight it probably won't hit the right spot for you. The adjustable pad is also just hard plastic, you can fix this by putting some foam from a yoga mat but really at this price point I feel like Colamy should have done that for you. The headrest is pretty good but the ratchet mechanism is a total design fail. It's very hard to adjust when changing sitting positions because the only way to adjust it downward is to move it all the way to the top to reset the ratchet and have it drop all the way back to the bottom. This makes small adjustments impossible and trying to get the headrest to its maximum length is a fools errand because 9 times out if 10 you will overshoot, resetting the ratchet and forcing you to try again. Finally I think the tilt mechanism needs work. The maximum stiffness for the recline is not stiff enough, anyone with a little muscle or weight is going to be too heavy for it to be useful as a free recline, you will always have to leave it locked. The default locked tilt position of the chair back isn't truly upright, there is always a little wiggle room that will leave you slightly reclined if you actually press into the back of the chair or headrest. And I wish the chair offered some kind of seat forward tilt offset, even if this wasn't easy adjustable and required setting during assembly or with an Alan key or something, being able to tilt the front of the seat up just a few degrees without reclining the back would set this chair apart from it's competition. This adjustment is critical for anyone using a footrest in my opinion and it's absent on this chair. That's a lot of negatives but I want to reiterate this is a decent chair. It beats anything you might find at IKEA or Staples at this price (unless you don't need a headrest, in that case keep looking cause there are better options), but there may be some other options from brands like Flexispot or Ergohuman that best this. I can't say for certain without trying them myself, but online reviews suggest those other options may be a better pick. That said if you are looking for a chair from Amazon with a headrest, decent adjustment options and around this price range, this is probably the best choice at least at the time of writing.
