First day review: I bought the same model before, but this one is a little better, as the inlet and outlet are made of brass. Second day: well, it stopped working. The setup was done properly, it works, but it doesn't draw water. I reinstalled the old one, which is has a crack inside that leaks a bit, and it works fine. I think it was just bad luck. I've already initiated the return for refund.

Good product, but was hoping for better integration with google home. It works with google home, BUT I made the mistake of adding devices to the RainPoint TUYA app (as directed by the basic instructions). If you want to integrate to google home you need to download the smart life app, and pair the same way as you would with the RainPoint TUYA app. The good news is regardless of if you pair using the smart life app or the RainPoint TUYA app, the interface, scheduling, rain delay, etc is all identical. The only gripe I have is more related to how google home views the devices. It sees the timers as switches, so you can add schedules for switches that work just fine, but you have less easy “plug and play” control like you would through the smart life app. I know google home works with other smart watering timers so it could be something they could work on. The reason I’d rather use google home is because my spouse doesn’t have all of the 3rd party smart apps downloaded and signed into, so it’s easier for her to just use one app for everything (lighting, HVAC, misc monitoring, and now irrigation) instead of needing 6 apps with different credentials. That’s why we like google home. Once I have some schedules/rules made via google home, it should be easier. I’ve been pleasantly surprised when google home has improved existing integration like in this scenario, so fingers crossed. I hope this helps anyone who is hoping to integrate with google home! It works, could be more clear in instructions on how to do it, and has some room for better usability on googles side

I love these timers, I use them to fill my pool and to water flower beds

These are a very good timer. If you purchase them buy the ones with brass fittings top and bottom. The plastic ones are easy to strip as you can imagine. I have had these for a few years now. There WiFi so you can activate them from anywhere you want. You can set up too three programs per timer. There’s one catch RAINPOINT has three different apps and companies. So not all Rainpoint products work with all of the Rainpoint products. Stay with the same line of products and you’ll be fine.

I have 5 of these and I couldn’t be any more pleased, no problems at all. The app works just fine turn on turn off schedule your times. Not fancy but it’s good enough for me, I plan on adding a few more in time. I like this product. I did have one problem, the batteries ran down after about 2 months, the directions actually cover this, normal operating procedure. I keep seeing that a lot of people return this item, I don’t understand why this is. Mine are working better than I expected.
