Greenworks 24V 12" Cordless String Trimmer / Edger, 2.0Ah Battery and Charger Included

I believe it is worth the money I already had a blower with battery so no I have 2 chargers and batteries.

To begin with, I am a 62 year old woman with health issues. I have trouble walking because of a bad back, knees and ankles. I am in constant pain, but yard still has to be done. With rising costs, we could not afford to hire someone this last month and the grass was getting tall. I didn't want anything that required gas. I looked online and found this Weed eater in the warehouse deals and took a chance. It works great. I cut the front yard with it in morning until the battery goes dead (or I can't stand up anymore). Then I do the same in the evening in the back yard. It takes longer, but it is working and it is something we could afford. So glad I got it.Cons: Could have had clearer instructions. Battery life doesn't last for a long time. But that doesn't bother me, most of the time it lasts longer than I do.Pros: It is lightweight. Easy to assemble. Gets the job done.

So this is a review I am writing because I shopped around a lot to find a battery powered edgder/trimmer.1. I love that it is a duel edger/trimmer combo2. Easy to install/use.3. Gets the job done (basic home lawn maintenance)4. Lightweight and easy to use5. Full charge gets back and front yard edged and trimmed (about an hour of life.Cons:1. I would have paid more for a better quality frame. It is a light plastic.2. The abillity to adjust the head broke first day. Its stuck and doesn't adjust but I didn't care enough for the price to return and overall it worked.3. Wish it was longer, its just a little too short, would have liked to see it extend another 3 or 4 inches. I feel like I gotta bend down too far sometimes.Overall:If you need something affordable but reliable to do basic lawn care. Trim the perimeters of your yard, edge the front lawn, get into corners and around A/C unit etc, then this is a great started option to your battery powered lawn equipment. I likely will upgrade in the future to the more powerful model but I do reccomend. My plan is to slowly replace all lawn equipment with battery powered ego equipment and get like two 50v batteries.

I had an earlier version of Greenworks Trimmer/Edger and was glad that this updated model works in the same way. The tool was easy to assemble in just a few minutes, and the battery charged up quickly as well. We mainly use this trimmer/edger to do edging after we mow the grass. I buy bulk replacement line for my trimmer/edger; I noticed that the factory line was worn down more quickly than the bulk line that I will be replacing it with when I reload the spool. The battery lasted ~45 minutes of pretty much continuous use, which is what I expected it to do. The tool was easy to clean and store, so I'm pleased with its overall performance. One thing I will warn users about - since the housing is plastic, don't let it drag on the edge of the sidewalk or driveway - if it drags then it will wear down the housing and eventually damage the motor, which is what killed my earlier version of this trimmer/edger.Update to Review 25-July-2022 - The line is prematurely breaking at the eyelet opening. It appears that there is a sharp ridge on the eyelet that's cutting a crease in the line, then the line breaks prematurely. I have to open the spool & advance the line.

I bought this to replace my aging weed trimmer. The battery was dying and barely lasted 5 mins, and the power was horrible. Once I got this, it was like a whole different ball game. This trimmer is very very powerful, and can also be used as an edge trimmer, which I find very useful. I am amazed at how well it cuts weeds, and I am very happy I bought it. It's a little heavier than my precious, and only seems to last about maybe 30 mins total, which isn't that long in my memory compared to my old one when I first got it. Either way, this is a very good purchase, you will not be disappointed.

I've had this trimmer since Aug 2021. The biggest issue is battery life. I don't know if i have a bad battery or what, but this thing does not last even close to 40 minutes. My experience is that the battery works fine for 15 minutes, and then starts to slow down. The RPMs on the trimmer go way down and then it might get a spurt of energy for a few minutes before slowing down again.I just edged my front yard and the battery only made it half way. You can't get a consistent cut at all. My suggestion is to look elsewhere, but again, my battery may be bad. I'm going to reach out to Green works to inquire further and will update my review afterwards.**UPDATE May 28, 2022 **So Green works has approved a replacement trimmer. I received a new battery and it was the same issue. I had to take the trimmer and batteries to a local shop for a warranty review. Greenworks approved full replacement and I expect the new trimmer soon.My biggest issue? Customer service. It is terrible. I have spent at least 10 hours on hold / in queue waiting to speak with a live person. Typically it takes a few hours to get through, even with the call back option. This, and the fact that they promise to send you tracking info or to send an email and it never happens. I've been waiting in my new trimmer for over 4 weeks now (since I sent it tonthe shop for warranty review) and I have no clue when I'll get my replacement. It's seriously so bad that I'll never buy from Greenworks again.

It works pretty good, but my main issue was that it kept rotating on it’s own while I was trimming and it was getting annoying. I don’t know if there’s a way to “click” the bottom half to where it doesn’t turn. But the power was good, it got the job done.

El aparato funciona ligero para las actividades que se necesitan hacer en un jardín pequeño. Pensando en unos 20 metros cuadrados. Si el espacio que vas a trabajar es más grande entonces deberías de considerar aquirir una segunda batería más grande.

Pensé que sería menos potente pero me gustó la capacidad de corte, está ideal para mí esposa por qué no pesa.

Es muy fácil de usar. Solo el tiempo de uso es menor a los 45 min, fuera de eso la recaga de la batería es muy aceptable y permite continuar con el trabajo. Me gusto.
