Glad I purchased this book!
There is a mountain full of gold in this book. I've only just started to dig it out but I'm very optimistic about the outcome. I just opened the doors on my very small business and feel overwhelmed by the "you have to post here on this day and then post a video over here on this day at this time"... Social media is CRAZY but a necessary step to help a business grow and connect with their customers.This book is helping me step by step to feel less overwhelmed and more in control of what feels like the wild, wild west. It's also a very easy read, infused with humor. Helps keep your attention. The added downloadable worksheets and the fact that I was able to download a PDF version was huge plus as well.I'm over all glad I purchased this book. Will probably purchase updated versions in the future just to stay on top.

This book is amazing and a kick in the pants!!!!
I've been struggling for four years to get my jewelry business on social media but I've been so intimidated by everything. I've spent a lot of money on courses on different platforms but it was too confusing. I am 57 and that explains a lot of it. I came across this book and read it from cover to cover and he explained everything as if he were talking to me! Now I've got motivation to set everything up. I've got a lot of jewelry made and no excuses! Thank you Jason!!!

If you know nothing about using social media for your business, this is the book to read
I myself do not know much about using social media to market a business. This book covers step-by-step instructions on how to set up a page, contents, tying different social media accounts together, search engine optimization, keywords, how to find your reviews, etc. The nice thing about the book is that many of the steps, is that in most all of them the steps are relatively the same, just a slightly different platform.Now I put a simple step to the test. I have been an Avon Rep for years, I have a website but I haven't done much with it until recently. So I decided to create a post that was engaging, asking them to also look at my website to just few the products and asking them to like and share my Facebook post. Then I went to my Instagram page and did the same thing only I tied my Instagram page to my Facebook page. It worked. So now when I post on Instagram it also posts it to my Facebook page.The book explains how to determine content and to make it more engaging that out right asking them to purchase your product or services. It also explains the differences between the major social media platforms. YouTube is a little different in that it mainly is about posting videos, Pinterest the smaller of the group is geared more to women and DIY. Now Facebook and Instagram can do all of those things and more, as were LinkedIn is more about setting up your business profile to network with other businesses and/or finding applicants to fill jobs.All-in-all it is a great book for beginners or technology challenged people who want to use it to promote there business. I will say that, I did not read anywhere in the book on how to make money using these social media platforms, other than the obvious use of keeping your business in front of your family, friends, current and/or potentially new customers. The book is packed with information and instructions, a good social media book.

Very helpful
I had heard about this book and finally decided to purchase it. It was everything and more I needed it to be. The book has been an incredible tool and I can’t think Mr. McDonald enough for all the wise insight I gained from reading this book.

my class required for my degree is using this as the text and I am disappointed.
most of the book boils down to two concepts; practice and look at other successful people. all in all a generic self help book with basics and generalizations but no real knowledge deeper than surface level. my class required for my degree is using this as the text and I am disappointed.

Turning Social Media into a marketing tool
As an experienced communications professional with little hands on experience with Social Media, I needed to survey the Social Media landscape to understand the different platforms and channels, which ones might best suit particular marketing and communications objectives and how to set up and execute campaigns. The Social Media Marketing Workbook not only provides a great helicopter view of the topic but provides practical tools to get under way. Clear, written with a light touch but always knowledgeable and practical. A great addition to my buiness library.

Exactly what I was looking for
I ordered this workbook wanting to increase my knowledge with social media and it is exactly what I was hoping for and more. Being in sales, it is important for me to be able to advise my accounts on ways they can market their businesses and understand more about the process, tools and techniques. This book is incredible and will definitely help me and my customers in 2025.

This book is a great first step in learning how to use social media as part of a marketing strategy. This book is a more like a textbook than a standard narrative book, so it doesn’t have much in the way of plot, characters, etc. This is really a workbook to get you up to speed on using several different kinds of social media platforms as part of your business strategy.This book is also really for beginners. There is a LOT of useful information in here, but the workbooks spends lots of time discussing how Facebook posts work, how to create a LinkedIn profile, etc, so it may not be as helpful for those with an intermediate proficiency with social media platforms.I think this book would be great for a marketing department of one, or someone trying to get a new business off the ground, or start a social media presence for an existing company.The one thing I will say is a negative about the book is how long it is! The Kindle version was over 400 pages. I know there’s a lot of ground to cover with social media, but I felt like there could be some trimming down to make it a bit of a shorter read.Other than the length, I think this a great starting point for someone new to the world of social media marketing, looking to learn about how the platforms work, how to take advantage of them and why using social media is important.
