Waste of money
Ordered this test kit due to a friends death from cancer caused by radon exposure. We mailed it in After 4 months, expecting results back within a couple of weeks; here it has been 2 1/2 months and no results. I feel like I wasted my money.

Incredibly slow - use someone else
I bought the one year test for our home after having a radon remediation system installed. Followed all their instructions. I returned it in the postpaid envelope. After a month, Accustar still had not logged in our device. I called them and was told by the young lady on the phone, "it's still probably in the bin". Really? After one month they had not even logged in our device. I know they probably really don't care about this negative review. That's pretty obvious. I have used other radon devices from other companies and have gotten results within two weeks of mailing the device. There are other radon testing device manufacturers. I suggest you check out others with better reviews. Good thing I didn't need to results for selling our house. Still, I guess eventually they will get around to it. After 6 weeks the device was finally taken out of the bin and logged in.

Accustar is ready to analyze your results after a full year of testing
Like many customers, I chose Accustar because of a favorable Consumer Reports rating and because long-term radon tests are the most accurate. (Short-term radon measurements are best used to screen for an extremely high level because the short-term results may differ from long-term averages by a wide margin.) I kept the test kit on the top of a cabinet for 334 days, with the partially completed paperwork and mailing envelope taped nearby. Accustar e-mailed the results (undetectable) one week after receipt of the test device, including the testing start and stop dates and signatures from Accustar Lab officials in a letterhead pdf. This was an easy, economical and accurate way to gather helpful information for the future sale of my house.

Never received any results
This was our 6th test from AccuStar over the years. First five a test report came back via email within the 2 week time period. Not sure if sending it with the USPS was at fault and didn't deliver the test or something messed up at the AccuStar lab? We emailed AccuStar regarding the lack of testing results but never received a response from them. Waste of money and the three months test period.

Test results not timely
I am giving this test kit a one star rating at this point because a month after Accustar received my kit my results are still pending. They must be experiencing problems because they promise results in 2 weeks. At this point I would recommend using another vendor until it becomes clear that this is not a long term issue for them.

They aren't processing! Don't buy! Won't be able to flag to Amazon by time test ends!!!!
It's been a month since sending using to their preaddressed & paid envelope and they haven't processed. Not understanding how a time-based device can sit in storage and give accurate results. By the time you can complete the minimum time for results it is too late to flag this same issue that I am as dispute periods have ended. It is a waste of time, energy and money. Amazon should remove this listing.

This is a scam. Don't waste your money
This is a scam. I did the test, sent it in and waited, no results, I waited more, no results, I waited over a year and they still never provided results. They claim they never received the test. It's absolutely infuriating that this company continues to scam people out of their money.Don't waste your money, there are reputable alternatives.

Results accurate, compared with electronic test. Easy to use.
I purchased the single unit test kits as gifts. But, I used the two pack myself, for a 9 month test. About a year after using the two pack, we were making plans to sell the house. The real estate agent wanted another radon test done. This second test was a 48 hour test using an electronic device. The results of the test with the electronic device agreed with both Apha Track tests.Using the Alpha Track tests were easy: Place the devices, record some information, and leave the devices alone for several months. At the end of the test period, mail the devices in, with a little paperwork. The devices have barcode stickers, part of which can be put on the paper where you record the information. That reduces the chance of error. When the results were complete, we got an email with a printable PDF result form. Having the serial number allows us to look up the results at AccuStar's website up to a year after the test is complete.
