I got this to help install my shade cloth, I have two different types of cloth, it works great on the new cloth, but my older one has a much thicker band around the edges, I could not get it to work on the banding, I was able to get it through the cloth itself and was successful with my insulation, has been working fine, my plan next year is to replace my older cloth, and it will work fine. I gave it 5 stars because it works fine on my new cloth.

The clips don't fit past the hemmed edge of shade sails. Impossible to clip together. Need a larger size.

These clips work well once you get the technique of closing them. Basically you should loop it over the wire or rope, slowly squeeze until the center locking pin begins to come through the opposite side. Then, while holding it partially closed, push up on the circle side that is slightly lower than the other circle side - squeeze in slowly while pushing up to line all the pins. Squeeze closed.
