Eufy Smart Lock C33...a solid investment and well made.
I really did not want a deadbolt lock and this lever smart lock from Eufy was exactly what I was looking for. I have a couple video doorbells from eufy and was really impressed with those and their build quality. I was equally impressed with the door hardware and the deadlatch was beefier than the deadlatch on the old doorlatch it was replacing. Directions were pretty good just so small to see, but I had watched the installation video and that was very helpful. Yes, it really only takes about 15 minutes to install and set up (excluding the software update it installed when I was finished) I also just flipped the deadbolt to the lower hole on the door to ensure the eufy latch had clearance (its tall and would not have fit under the deadbolt as was the original configuration on the door. I already had the deadbolt installed below the door latch on one of my exterior doors (I am tall and just like the latch on the higher hole) so that install was even quicker. The finger (thumbprint) reader works great and fast. Now we know our two basement doors and the garage door are locked and secure every evening now. It specially makes my wife happy as I was constantly leaving those doors unlocked because I was always in and out of them so often and it was a pain to remember a key or having one hanging near the back doors. Now it's fast easy access and I don't need to remember to lock them afterwards...the smart lock latches now remember for me. I do not know how long batteries will last but once they go, I am just going to replace all 8 of them with rechargeable lithium AAs. Right now, I would highly recommend these lever smart locks especially easy if you have no deadbolt above your latch but it's easy enough to just switch them around putting your deadbolt on the bottom and they look and feel really nice too.

A solid door lock that fit my need perfectly
Our front door has only the lock and no deadbolt. I wanted to upgrade the lock to something the family could without having to remember those pesky keys (!), and also where we could give a combination to someone watching the cats, taking in the mail and the like. And I'm lazy, so I didn't want to start drilling. This lock is perfect. Installation was a snap, and while I didn't quite make it in 15 minutes, it was close enough for government work. From the quick installation to today, the lock has worked flawlessly. The lock has some real heft to it, so I'm going to extrapolate out from my 5 months experience and suggest that this lock will work for years to come. Software setup is quick and easy. Everyone in the family has her / his own code, everyone's fingerprint is set and notifications get sent when the door is unlocked. There have been numerous complaints about battery life. Eufy, I gotta say, stop shipping your lock with crappy batteries! I've installed other electronic locks and the first thing to go is always the batteries. That's especially the case if you live in colder climates. Just slap in a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries from the get-go (or rechargeable lithium) and you don't need to worry about short alkaline battery life. Sidebar warning though, the Energizer lithium batteries tend to maintain a solid charge for a long time, but when the decide to die, they die really quickly. Just be aware of that.

Read the installation instructions.
I own a lot of Eufy products and generally like them, but their smart locks relying on WiFi and cloud connectivity is a major drawback. Unlike Matter over Thread, which is self-healing, these locks don’t recover on their own. If my network goes down, the lock requires a full reconfiguration and I have to go through the pairing process again. In contrast, I have another smart lock connected via HomeKit that uses Matter over Thread. It remembers its settings and never needs repairing. I run a UniFi network with multiple VLAN options, including a dedicated 2.4GHz IoT network for all my smart devices. Even with this setup, the Eufy lock was a headache because it demands WiFi and cloud access just for setup. With Matter over Thread, everything runs locally through hubs like AppleTV or HomePods—it’s simpler and the network heals itself. Eufy makes solid hardware, but they’re stuck in the old model requiring cloud access over WiFi instead of embracing modern standards like Matter. Installation itself is straightforward—if you follow the official guide. You absolutely need to read the instructions or watch Eufy’s video. The lever has specific requirements, and you must use all the parts included in the box. Do not reuse parts from your old lock. It’s actually funny watching review videos where people skip steps and end up locked out or with a non-functional handle. Then they come here to blame the manufacturer, when the problem is clearly user error. That’s a fact. Stick to Eufy’s official tutorial—skip the YouTubers who often leave out important details or give oversimplified explanations. You’ve been warned. One feature I genuinely love about this lock is the internal clutch mechanism. It disengages the exterior handle, preventing anyone from applying weight to force the door open. Only authorized methods—fingerprint, password, NFC, or physical key—can engage the clutch and allow the handle to work. That’s excellent security. Another plus is flexibility. I was able to pair my Eufy cameras with the lock. When the clutch engages, the cameras automatically switch to recording that door. This deep integration is the main reason I stick with Eufy for security. They’re improving with sensors and other smart devices, but we really need alternatives to WiFi. A quick note on networks: Eufy devices prioritize 2.4GHz and don’t work well with 5GHz or tri-band setups. If your ISP router supports it, create a separate 2.4GHz IoT network and connect all smart devices there. Your ISP support can help, or you can buy your own router here on Amazon. To Eufy: Please implement Matter over Thread across all your products. It’s time.

Perfect if you forget to lock your doors at night.
This smart lock changed how we handle door security at my house and the scheduling feature is the main reason why. We have it set up so during the day the doors are unlocked for convenience and at night everything locks down automatically. No more wondering if someone forgot to lock up before bed. It just happens on its own based on the schedule we programmed. The keypad is responsive and easy to use. Punch in your code and you are in. No fumbling for keys, no digging through pockets or bags. When you have your hands full with groceries or whatever else, just tap the code and walk in. It sounds like a small convenience but once you have it you wonder how you dealt with traditional locks for so long. Setup through the app was painless. Connected to wifi quickly and the interface is intuitive. Creating schedules, adding user codes, checking the lock status remotely. It all works smoothly without lag or frustration. I can see from my phone whether the door is locked or unlocked no matter where I am. Peace of mind when you are away from home. Build quality feels solid and secure. This is not some flimsy gadget that looks like it would give way if someone leaned on it hard. It feels like real security hardware that happens to be smart. The fingerprint reader works well too if you prefer that over the keypad. Multiple ways to get in means flexibility for different situations. Battery life has been solid. It runs on regular batteries and lasts a long time between changes. The app warns you when power is getting low so you are never caught off guard with a dead lock. I have not had to change batteries yet and it has been installed for a while now. For anyone wanting to upgrade their door security with smart features that actually add value, this is a great choice. The scheduling alone is worth it. Set your routines once and let the lock handle itself. Combine that with remote monitoring and multiple entry methods and you have a complete solution that just works.

Best keyless lock yet
While drilling the holes was harder than installing the lock. This was easy install connected to my wifi no problem. I love the ease in setting up the device through the app. This is what I've been looking for. I have wasted money with other so called wifi compatible keyless door locks, this one really is. I read some say the battery life is bad I haven't had it long enough to know. I run an AirBnB out of my home so having the keyless entry for each bedroom is great especially since I dont have to go to the lock and manually put each codes in. Also this allows for min of 4 digits which works great for guests, they dont have to remember 2 different codes one for front door and one for the bedroom. I am planning to replace all my doorknobs and locks with this one, as long as it continues to do great like it is now. This one actually has a working fingerprint function.

Peace of Mind Every Night with a Rock-Solid Smart Lock
The build quality and handle design stand out immediately. The lever has a solid heft to it--smooth and comfortable to grasp--and having lever hardware instead of a knob makes a difference when carrying groceries or juggling bags. It feels like a small upgrade that pays off every day. The most important feature for me is the ability to schedule it to lock at a certain time every night. Now I don’t lay in bed wondering if I remembered to lock the door; it just takes care of itself, and that peace of mind is huge. Fingerprint recognition isn’t flawless--it often works on the first try, but sometimes I have to try again--but it’s quick enough and reliable enough that I never think of it as a problem. Installation takes some patience, but the instructions are clear, and the process is very doable if you pay attention step by step. Once installed, the app setup is simple. I think of it as “set it and forget it”--I created the schedule, turned on notifications, and haven’t had to open the app again. Unlocking makes a quiet mechanical sound, and there’s a fairly loud beep by default that can be disabled (I turned it off right away). Durability has been excellent. My unit is fully exposed--no overhang, sitting in direct desert sun and rain for seven months--and it has never faltered. I’ve only had to replace the batteries once in that time, even with multiple entries and exits every day. The Wi-Fi connection has been rock solid as well; remote access has never failed me. I liked this lock so much that I purchased another one for my garage side door. It’s a product that combines comfort, reliability, and peace of mind in a way that makes it easy to recommend.

A Smart Lock Door Handle you want if u are looking.
This product is the best handle door lock with number pad and NFC key and physical keys. I have a few of the locks. Note the strike plate needs to be adjusted the one u already hafe to make door latch work right. Other than that the best app as well. Deside to put one one my photography gear closet. But the lock hade trouble reversing handle and Somthing inside was not making the latch move in and out like it should. Contacted Amazon thay told me Eufy will replace yr lock and you may kerp yr broken one. This is a lock you want to get in a smart lock make sure yr door is able to use this lock is u have a Deadbolt hole make sure it is higher than lock unit. Other that the striker plate needing adjustment to make the lock latch work. I hade to use a plastic shim and bend the inside plate inside the striker. Best lock grate support easy app and setup.

Door only works with physical key
aweful. several issues. I installed everything, registered fingerprints, set the pin. 1. The touch keypad doesn't light up when i touch it. 2. When i use the fingerprint, app says the door is unlocked, but when i turn the knob, it doesn't retract the bolt and I can't open door. 3. When i use app to open the door, it says its unlocked, but when i turn the knob, bolt doesn't retract and door doesn't open. Only thing I can open the door with is through a physical key. this is Just $100+ expensive doorknob that can only open with a physical key. ‐-------------------------- Update I was able to fix the issue by opening it back up and making sure the internal cord is inserted properly into the adapter. I noticed that you'd need to insert the internal cord until your fingernails break, then it gets inserted in completely. It's a super tight adapter to plug into. Then the unit was working perfectly.
