I have been on the hunt for a tiny laptop of this size since netbooks were either discontinued or grew into the 10inch lame chromebooks of today. Yes, there are the likes of the GPD laptops, but they cost twice as much as this one and most have the GamePad controls that I did not want on a small laptop of this size. Here I present, the KOOFORWAY 8inch mini laptop! I absolutely love this thing, and I really mean that. I don't write reviews hardly at all, but this one deserves it! Overall quality - First off, the build quality is insanely good. It has a full aluminum build, glass display and PORTS!!! No dongles needed here! It actually has some weight to it, which is awesome, as it DOES NOT feel like a cheap crappy laptop. it feels quality! Now, how does it perform? Pretty dang well! My version W/ N150, 12GB RAM, 512SSD runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box and was pretty quick to setup considering windows itself takes a bit. I am an Owner/Operator truck driver meaning I own and operate my company out of my truck myself. I needed a tiny laptop to keep in my truck for entering expenses into my accounting software, email with Thunderbird, invoicing, scanning and printing shipping documents, internet tabs open and other office software. It will run all of that at the same time with no slowdowns or issues. I can even put it into tablet mode and grab a signature really quick, rotate it back and print out the shipper or receiver paperwork in seconds. Push it to the limit - I am so impressed with this thing that I was curious how much it would handle. I am a Star Wars nerd and decided to install a game or so. (Power Settings Performance) This thing will even run Dice's 2017 release of Battlefront 2 on low settings at a solid 30FPS with minimal slowdowns (after configuring video settings) which is insane for something of this size. The wireless card is fast enough for online gaming. But I do recommend a wireless mouse as the TrackPoint is not great for the gaming side of things but is awesome for everything else. Battery life - in day-to-day use (Power Balance/Power Saving Profile) in and out of the truck it will last the full day on battery no problem. The best part? I can charge it with my phones USB-C charger right in the truck! No more power adapters or inverters! Peripherals - the keyboard is decent. It's no ThinkPad, but the way they resized some of the keys to give you the best typing experience just works. I have no problem typing on it. and it has a number row! The TrackPoint, this thing works really well once you get used to it. It seems like it would be a ThinkPad style TrackPoint, but it is not. It seems like a tiny, curved touch screen that you run your finger along to move the mouse instead of angling your finger like on a TrackPoint. It works good especially after you adjust the sensitivity in mouse settings based on your finger size. Touchscreen, I don't use it a ton except when scrolling web pages or using the supplied digital stylus for signatures. It is very similar to a phone touch screen in sensitivity and works well. Downsides - there aren't many, but the biggest is the speakers are very quiet even at full volume. The fan with kick on lightly with medium usage applications and on full with high usage applications, but the fan is very quiet. Even with the quiet speakers, they still overpower the fan noise just fine. The laptop gets warm with high usage applications, but the cooling system keeps up. Also, the fans almost never kick in with day-to-day business use. Wants - I would love a version of this machine with LTE/5G support, so I don't have to rely on my phone's hotspot. Also, louder speakers would be nice. Overall, I absolutely love this tiny laptop. I have other laptops such as a MacBook Pro, Toughbook, and a few other Dell business laptops. But this one takes the cake. I mean, it's a tiny laptop that I can take pretty much everywhere, is about the same size as an iPad mini and runs FULL WINDOWS 11! What more could you want for an "on-the-go" do all machine that blows away what any phone could do! Who is this for? - As a small business owner, or someone that wants an iPad Mini sized FULL WINDOWS 11 machine that is USABLE! I couldn't recommend this machine enough! If this thing ever gives up or I wear it out (which I don't think I could) I will 100% be purchasing another from these guys. Thank You for producing a small laptop the big OEMs didn't think we needed!

As an IT manager, I’ve spent my fair share of time in data centers. I’ve even spend a couple summers interning there as well. For all my experience, I was always surprised by how outdated the setup was. Some companies even had whole desk and chair setup so you could put up a desktop or a laptop to connect to the environment. Having to move to another cage was always a hassle and I know the powerplug/ethernet cable dance by heart. All this to say that this handheld-PC is the absolute dream for anyone working in a datacenter with any frequency. Not only is it small and easily portable, but it has a myriad of ports to connect to machines and even an ethernet jack (something many other companies are dropping off PCs these days) so you can plug directly into the network environment – not that most Data Centers do NOT allow wifi networks, so a direct connection is the best, and only, way to go. The USB-A port is also great for connecting older tech like a USB to Serial port adapters, Firewall connectors and even external PCs. This little guy has enough RAM and processing power that I was able to transfer 3TB in about 2 hours from USB external drive through the PC to a PURE NAS via Ethernet – all while running Youtube Music and re-imaging the secondary High Availability (HA) firewall. Outside of work, the screen is touch-enabled and rotates. Many a time I’ve read some e-books while waiting or on the train or used it as a notebook with the (included) stylus, you can easily pop open OneNote and scribble down notes without an issue. While the digitizer isn’t perfect, I tried using paint and could make smooth-enough lines. Obviously, I’m not Picasso, but it serves. The battery life is also great, getting me through an entire server deployment on one charge with enough leftover to keep my entertained on the ride home. While this can be the perfect datacenter PC, it also would be great for anyone who needs a little PC that can be carried and stored easily and is always available to just DO. I mean, you could even take it camping (if you’re brave enough). Oh, also it has USB-C charging with is even more versatile than ever. 5 Stars and this is a definite part of my go-bag going forward!

Pros: Tiny, full laptop, N100 provides reasonable performance (far better than Nxxxx and Jxxxx laptops). Far cheaper but much less powerful than the same-sized GPD laptops. 2280 NVME can be upgraded. Solid build. USB-C + USB-A and HDMI and RJ45 ethernet. No crapware. The only customization is the boot BIOS logo screen otherwise these are all the same. Not a chromebook. Cons: Keyboard design layout. The QWERTYUIOP row is grossly misaligned for touch-typing. What should be the backspace key is a forward-delete, and the tiny forward delete key (which most people don't even use) is the actual backspace. No way to scroll up/down with the mouse. Magnetic stylus barely sticks to the lid. The split space bar design is pretty mediocre. This same laptop is sold by many names and prices on Temu, Aliexpress, and Amazon (Pocket 8, P8, Crelander, Mini 8, Koosmile, etc.) Shopping for a good deal on Amazon you can get it for $360 versus $400-$470. It's only about $30 more on Amazon than on Temu (Crelander) so definitely worth getting it through Amazon. And again, much cheaper than the far more powerful GPD mini laptops. Works great with a portable/bluetooth keyboard/trackpad with is pretty much a necessity given the bad keyboard row alignment. The main similarly budget alternative would be a 10-inch N100 or N150 laptop by Chuwi or an 8-inch from X+ Piccolo. It's a modern alternative to the classic Toshiba Libretto and twice as fast as the last 11-inch Macbook (early 2015 Air) from Apple. The Intel N100 is really pretty darn impressive, but it is NOT a Core i3/i5/i7. For a lot of people this laptop is great. However 8-inches for a laptop clearly requires some very intelligent product design for the keybaord+mouse which unfortunately is not delivered here. I bought anD receiveD this back in August (3 months ago). At first, this workeD wonDerfully. I DiDn't like WinDows 11 (it got so hot anD maDe a bunch of noise even when I DiDn't have any apps running), so I installeD Linux Mint insteaD anD it workeD very well. It maDe no sounD, ran smooth, anD was great from general working anD streaming, for a while. Eventually, the keyboarD starteD giving me problems. First, the right arrow key malfunctioneD. I was watching a Youtube viDeo when the viDeo suDDenly starteD skipping forwarD, until the right arrow key just stoppeD working entirely. I thought it probably broke since I constantly useD that key to skip viDeos forwarD, but no. Just this week, I founD myself lockeD out of my account. I reset my passworD, loggeD into my account, anD realizeD that my keyboarD malfunctioneD again, but in a Different, unexpecteD way. Were you wonDering why all the Ds in this review is capitalizeD? It's because every time I press D, the keyboarD also now registers D+Shift, which was the cause of me being lockeD out since my original passworD haD a lowercase D. The Shift key also now presses PrintScreen, so my PC keeps trying to take a screenshot. I can't even use the number symbols anymore because of this, so I can't write any email aDDresses for work. AnD before anyone claims that it was Linux Mint's fault, no. I reverteD to an olD backup before the problems starteD anD it's still there. I ran a Different Linux Distro anD it's still there. I even reinstalleD WinDows 11 anD, as you can plainly see, it's still there! I absolutely loveD this thing at first, but now it's become absolutely unusable. I regret ever buying this. Will finD a replacement soon. EDIT: It's 5 months after purchase anD this laptop is cookeD. Battery barely lasts 3 hours now. It also completely Drains in sleep moDe. Don't buy this if you intenD to use this very frequently.

I’ve been on a lookout for this compact form factor windows laptop for a while now and every time I got one it was poor quality. This is the first one with a metal shell so that’s already off to a good start. The unboxing experience was on par with major US manufacturers such as HP and Dell. It came with a nice box and a nice plastic wrap - it’s clear that they’re trying to make a name for themselves and gain recognition in the market. The included accessories were a stylus (surprisingly also high build quality), a USB C charger (so you can charge it with any other USB C cable which is a standard but still nice), and two keyboard silicone covers neither of which are US keyboard adapted. The keyboard itself is incredibly nice to touch, by the way, totally not expected from Chinese brand. Right off the bat, the main downside is there’s nowhere to reliably store the stylus like on an iPad where you can magnetically attach it - if there is, I haven’t found it yet. The startup process will take a solid half an hour so go get that charger and buckle up. Once you’re done - connect your android when it asks you. Trust me you want that function it makes the laptop feel like a MacBook. Oh and did I mention? It supports thunderbolt hub. Meaning one usb c cable will: charge, connect HDMI, mouse, keyboard and as many USB ports as you want. The little mouse pad is a little funky - external mouse is the way to go. So is the keyboard but then again don’t expect miracles from an iPad mini form factor. Overall this is a great little laptop and I don’t have any major complaints. But as always, expect an update from me if anything goes wrong.

Great little notebook, running Lubuntu/Windows Dual Boot on there, to have a mobile version of a Linux box. Surprisingly capable, keeps up with basic tasks, adequately powered. Battery life good for a "regular" laptop, guestimating ~3 hrs of use. Good price for an ultraportable, keyboard and mouse finicky, but better, more usable than expected. Only issue is the USB-C power port, it REQUIRES the ORIGINAL charger, which is odd, other laptops use most USB chargers if strong enough, or even power banks. I guess that causes reviews claiming its not charging and being frequently returned. It's a bit puzzling and bit of a bummer. The charging indicator, even in the OS (Windows AND Linux) show charging status, though actually discharging, so... - looks like a malfunction, but isn't. UPDATE: The computer charges with other chargers too, it needs to be an "ultra-fast" charger. I use a Belkin 45w USB-C charger. Found also a battery pack, Anker Z, capable of "ultra-fast" charging are working, removing the only disadvantage (besides the keyboard). Ask your phone, if it says "ultra" or "super-fast" charging, it should work. At the time of this update the price increased $100, over a third. Still a deal, would buy again in a heartbeat. Running RawTherapee and Siril image stacker on there. Why? Dunno, because they run. Underpowered for that, but when traveling or just to tinker - show me better, if you can.

UPDATE: today I received the mini laptop that I ordered to replace this original machine (that has the bubble under the factory-installed touchscreen film / screen protector). I am happy to report this second unit's film is perfect. I am sending back the defective unit and will be keeping the replacement, because it is an awesome mini laptop. ________________ I wanted this mini Windows notebook for when traveling on long-haul flights to Asia (14 to 15 hr flight from SFO to the Far East); at less than three pounds this machine is far better than my having to lug a 17" notebook that weighs 7 lbs with the charger. When this arrived it did not disappoint. It is a high quality, fully featured notebook. And it comes with Windows 11 Pro, a nice touch considering nowadays many consumer notebooks come installed with Windows Home Edition. Also kewl, it has all the ports you need for this notebook to function as a full-size PC (HDMI; USB 3.0; USB-C; RJ45 network port; old school, 3.5mm audio jack/port). Other things I like: display is crisp, sharp, and bright; the rotating touchscreen display; a decent integrated mouse; the backlit keyboard; an included stylus; and the excellent specs (1TB storage; 12GB RAM; Bluetooth 5.0; fast processor; etc.) Alas, I am returning the machine because underneath the preinstalled touchscreen film / screen protector there's an air bubble, about half the size of a pea. It is noticeable whether the display background is white or black. If this was a $200 machine I would simply ignore that bubble on the screen, but for $513 USD (taxes included), I demand better. So I regretfully returned the machine today. But I like this little guy so much that I immediately bought a second one, and simply will wait for the refund on the return. P.S. I could have rated this with fewer stars, but for now I don't think this otherwise fine machine should be poorly rated simply because of a bubble underneath the screen protector. But if the second one has a detectable bubble on the dispaly, that would burn my bacon and negatively affect the stars I give. P.P.S. Yes, I did try to GENTLY press the bubble to see if I could get rid of it, but the touchscreen film/screen protector is too thick, massaging it had zero effect on the bubble.

Really liked this little thing, but after 3 months of light use, it suddenly turned off in the middle of a session (while not plugged in) and won't come back on. No charging lights or anything. Very disappointing. Edit: From reading other comments, apparently this thing will only charge with the OEM charger. That is a terrible design. Mine is working again, but I can't say that I'm particularly happy with the fact that if I ever lose this charger, this thing is a brick. What a super little laptop for note taking and for travel. I love the idea and the execution is perfect too. It's nicely packaged and a classy experience to unbox. The battery life is superb and the laptop is charged and ready to use upon arrival. The things that impressed me the most are first of all how good the connectivity options are for such a compact machine and secondly how good and sharp the image is. This little laptop is speedy and essentially just the same as a full sized laptop but smaller. It functions and operates exactly the same. Super quality and good value for money.

Mais je suis tellement contente de mon achat. Ce mini PC remplit toutes les fonctions que je souhaitais. La fluidité, la réactivité, la qualité d'image et sa taille qui permet de l'emporter partout facilement. Le port HDMI permet de passer l'écran sur ma télé très facilement. En plus avec Windows 11, pack office et un stockage de 512Go. J'ai même été très agréablement surprise en voyant le clavier AZERTY alors que les vidéos que j'avais vu montraient un clavier QWERTY. Je recommande pour les personnes qui souhaitent un petit apareil facile à emporter pour faire de la bureautique, regarder des séries, télécharger de la musique, naviguer sur Internet, regarder des vidéos...

Ich war am Anfang sehr skeptisch, als ich den Mini-Laptop über eine Werbung entdeckt hatte. Da es aber einige sehr positive, verifizierte Rezensionen gibt, habe ich es als zusätzlichen Laptop zu meinem Dell XPS bestellt. Ich will nicht immer auf Urlauben oder Wochenendreisen den teuren, großen 17 Zoll - Laptop mitschleppen. Ich wäre nicht überrascht gewesen, wenn bei mir ein Ziegelstein angekommen wäre, aber am nächsten Tag der Bestellung wurde es per Amazon und Passwortcode geliefert. In der Verpackung ist ein Eingabestift, zwei USB-C-Kabel, ein kleines Netzteil, das zusammen mit einer der USB-C-Kabel für die Stromversorgung verwendet werden kann. Es liegt auch ein USB-Stick bei, mit dem eine Systemwiederherstellung bzw. Neuinstallation von Windows 11 Pro durchgeführt werden kann. Die für diesen Pocket PC notendigen Treiber sind auch auf dem Stick enthalten. Die erste Inbetriebnahme vom Windows funktionierte wie gewohnt, relativ schnell alles eingestellt. Ich hatte auch schon befürchtet, dass es eine evtl. gefakte Version von Windows 11 wäre, aber weit gefehlt. Ich habe dann den Laptop auf die aktuelleWindows Version 11 Pro 24H2 Build 26100.1742 ohne Probleme updaten können. Auch alle anderen Updates liefen ohne Probleme durch. Ich bin restlos begeistert, Toucheingabe, Eingabestift vorhanden, Bildschirm ist auch noch Convertible!! Ja, die Auflösung beträgt "nur" 1280x800, größer wurde aber auch bei einem 8"-Bildschirm keinen Sinn machen. Über meine Dockingstation konnte ich auch zwei große 24"-Monitore mit 1920x1080 an dem Winzling betreiben! Mein Tastatur-Layout hat vertauschte Y/Z-Tasten, schnell die Kappen getauscht und erledigt. Die Umlaute sind auf den anderen Tasten enthalten und funktionieren. Ich habe die 1TB-Variante, bin restlos begeistert von dem kleinen Zwerg, die Performance ist schnell (alles was Oberfläche und MS Office betrifft). Werde mal zum Spaß Luminar AI installieren und dann mal schauen, wie es dann mit der Performance aussieht.
