Either way this is definitely a great product. I would recommend that if you get ...
If you have a Jeep wrangler Tj with the straight 6 engine and 5 speed manual ( or straight 4 with 5 speed manual tranny) this is absolutely the flywheel for you. When I opened I found packing grease on it to keep from rust so don't worry just blast it with break cleaner and put it in. Remember if you have the 6 cylinder torque it to 135ft pounds as for the straight four I am unsure I believe its about 115 but don't quote me on it. Either way this is definitely a great product. I would recommend that if you get the corresponding Luk Clutch kit to switch the Luk throw-out bearing with a National throw-out bearing as the Luk throw-out has plastic parts and plastic is a no go for a transmission and the reason to choose National is because they are a seasoned company making very reliable full metal regressed throw-out bearings for years. This product will be good for factory replacement and tranny upgrade

A good choice when replacing your clutch
Well...it's a little weird that the flywheel bolt holes are "keyed" and only installed one way, without any other keying to help you line things up, but you can't blame LuK for that. When my clutch blew, it was either get my existing 2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L flywheel honed or buy this new one. Honing was almost as expensive, but was discouraged. So I got this one. Seems to work great. In concert with the [LuK 05-901 Clutch Kit] I purchased, my Jeep drives better than new with no clutch chatter on a cold engine. One item to note...when removing a flywheel, you always should replace the flywheel bolts. I bought the [ARP (146-2801) Flywheel Bolt Kit] which fit my Jeep just fine. Also, you need a torque wrench. But if you are doing this work, you probably already have one.

Purchase at your own risk
I purchased in June 2024 for my 1994 YJ. My Jeep has gone through several phases and so this is actually my third Luk flywheel to buy. I had a Centerforce high inertia flywheel previously, and the engine ran great with it. I pulled the engine for some work and upon reinstall I went with a Luk again to go back to stock. Got the Jeep back together and finally cranked it up. Started very poorly. Once running it was decent. Continued to sound like it was basically choking at startup and never got better no matter what I did. Checked out the reviews here and I saw some negative reviews around the same time frame as when I purchased the one. Spent the afternoon removing the transmission and compared it to an older Luk LFW193 that I forgot I have. Sure enough, the timing marks are off like multiple reviews. What a pain to deal with. Don’t buy this unless you go ahead and have your old one out ahead of time so you can compare. Otherwise you’re doing the job twice and you’ll scratch your head for a while wondering what is wrong before you realize it’s the junk flywheel.

Great Product.
The flywheel helped my 1995 Jeep Wrangler shift smoother and with no slipping.

Beware of 2021 and 2022 old stock, but 2025 is good
The defective timing batch was for years 2021 and 2022. The one I received was a 2025 batch. This fit my 1999 4.0 Jeep TJ with a new LuK RepSet 05-901 clutch kit. So far, it's all good.

Another Great Luk product
After hearing some horror stories about swapping out flywheels in Jeeps, I was worried about my project, but this Luk flywheel fit great and bolted up correctly (after i corrected two stripped flywheel bolts that is, not caused by this new flywheel but to listening to those who stated you could use the old bolts GRIN) Anyways after getting it all back together the jeeps runs good and shifts great.

Good luck
Flywheel looks like a decent product except that timing cutouts for crank position sensor are wrong and vehicle runs really rough and throws CPS code. it cost me alot of money having the Flywheel replaced twice and by the time my mechanic could get the flywheel replace my return window was over. I conta<cted supplier and was never contacted back so I'm stuck with a Janky flywheel. Definitely will not work on my 1997 Jeep wrangler 4.0

Fits perfect, oem part for jeep 1992 4.0L engine. Good price also. Don't waste time refacing your old one, it could get too thin and run into problems with clutch releasing. And for Jeeps, refacing it not recommended because it would remove the slight curb on the facing. They are not completely flat with OEM.

RECOMMEND THIS FLYWHEEL CHEAPER THAN GET IT MACHINED RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

I'm not sure you can get a fly wheel surfaced for the price of this one! They are not flat, and are actually concave. Machining messes them up. As advertised. shipped fast. no issues.
