Great little book!
Actually a very interesting read. The author attempts to help readers understand the importance of Willie Lynch and how slave psychology was used to control Black people. Some folks may not like the book because the book really does do exactly what it was intended to do: make a person reflect on how the institution of slavery has over hundreds of years impacted the psyche of Black people. The author compels the reader, especially if he or she is a black person, to consider the dynamics of relationship roles between black men and women. This book is empowering.Lastly, I wish the author would have acknowledged more the role each individual black person possesses regarding his or her own destiny. IF, a person can acknowledge that his or her personal choices play a role in individual/community success, in spite of the Curse of Willie Lynch or Black women being influenced to de-masculate black men, then the black community will be more successful. It is not enough to suggest there is no ownership in the choices an individual makes. Have black people individually made some poor choices in spite of the Curse of Willie Lynch?

An important read for all African Americans
An important read for all African Americans. It delves in why we think certain thoughts about ourselves and our people here in the states. Slavery did a number on us and its legacy still permeates our lives today in how we treat ourselves and each other. To break the cycle we need to know what the slave masters designed the institution of slavery to do to us and what we need to do to break free or we will continue generations of practices that ensure the downfall of our race now and in the future. Great read!

To sum it up, I face-palmed a lot reading this book, almost through the whole thing actually...
Let me start by saying, I do not discredit the effects of the Willie Lynch speech/letter, or what Mr. Morrow attempted to do, but this book did not do it for me. One of the issues I had before I go into the issue of detail, was the number of grammatical and spelling errors. It is hard for me to take a scholar seriously when their work is riddled with errors. No I am not a grammar police, but this was not social media; it is a published book and a short one at that, so it would not have taken much to give the book a proper edit/proofread.As for detail, many of the chapters seemed incomplete- not thorough at all. For example, Chapter 10 is on ending self-hate, but how to actually end it was never addressed. This book is poorly organized and seemingly thrown together. It is also outside of Mr. Morrow’s scope of expertise. He attempts to address and speak on the psychological effects of Willie Lynch but is not a psychologist, nor has he studied psychology; he is a nutritionist, so having references to support what he says is needed. The work is unsubstantiated; there is absolutely no research or references to back what seems to be just a book of opinions and conjectures. There is nothing to support his position. He even states in the book, “As an author (which he is not) it is my responsibility to seek and discover truths” (which he did not). There were a number of things stated in the book that just does not make sense and the “author” did not provide any detail or elaborate on what was stated to help it make sense. When discussing black women, he comes across as sexists and misogynist as he all but blames black women for the state of black men to the point of even saying dependent black men, even when negative, are on the right path- “These men negative or positive are on the right path, with the right idea, and they have the right intention” (p. 104), but black women are in a “state of unconscious sleep, not knowing why she thinks the way she thinks today submits to the structure of the white male” (p. 103). To seem even more sexist, he repeatedly refers to black women as “female” yet black men are referred to as men not male. If men are being called men, then their counterpart women, should be called women, not female. To sum it up, I face-palmed a lot reading this book, almost through the whole thing actually. I was expecting scholarly writing but instead, found a book that is perfect for an English editing course- that is how terribly erroneous in grammar and punctuation it is. I would love for an actual scholar, historian, or even psychologist to tack the curse of Willie Lynch. I applaud Alvin Morrow for recognizing the issue of Willie Lynch and attempting a remedy, but he missed the mark….BTW, whether or not the Willie Lynch speech/letter took place is almost irrelevant, as what is described in the letter is applicable...

A Must Read For All Black Women
This book is a must read for ALL Black people especially Black women! This information should be mandatory and taught as part of United States history and social science in school. The book lays out the framework of how white people set the stage to destroy relationships between Black Men & Women (Black Kings & Queens) and it is as relevant today as it was when written in the late 1800’s…

Must read
If you read the original 'willie lynch' letter then you differently need to read this book. In fact if you've never read the original 'willie lynch letter' then i recommend that you buy this book first. This book quote text per text of the original willie lynch letter, i consider this book a tool to understand the mindset of the today strongholds that is on the black, latino and native community. This book really open my eyes on the intellect of details that oppressors use to place people in perfect mind control. If you read the king james bible you'll see that the blacks, native american and hispanic are the israelites the bible speaks of. I believe that's the only enlight that was missing in this book. but overall 100% insightful

BREAKING THE CURSE OF WILLIE LYNCH
THIS BOOK LITERALLY CHANGED THE WAY A THOUGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY. ALL BLACK PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY SUFFER FROM CURSE OF WILLIE LYNCH. HE DEVELOPED A PLAN TO CONTROL ALL BLACK PEOPLE FOR OVER 300 YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN A SUCCESS. WE STILL ARE CONTROLLED BY THIS CURSE AND MANY BLACK PEOPLE DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT. PLEASE GET INFORMED ON WHAT HAS TAKEN PLACE IN HISTORY AND ALWAYS BE AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON NOW IN THE 21ST CENTURY. SLAVEERY IS STILL GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY, BUT NOW IT IS MORE MENTAL THAN PHYSICAL. WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO HATE OURSELVES AND SETTLE FOR LESS ON EVERY ENDEAVOR IN LIFE. BLACK PEOPLE EVERYWHERE.. THIS IS NOT BY ACCIDENT OR BY MISTAKE. THIS IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY AND WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN CHANGE IT BY BEING EDUCATIONED AND GOING TO COLLEGE. THE AUTHOR OF THIS BOOK REALLY DID HIS HOMEWORK BECAUSE THE BOOK IS A STEP BY STEP METHOD OF CONTROL THAT WILLIE LYNCH DESIGNED HIMSELF. THE SAD THING ABOUT THIS BOOK IS THAT IT IS ALL TRUE AND IT STILL IS IN PRACTICE TODAY.
