Golden 30405 Acrylic Medium Regular Gel Semi-Gloss, 8-Ounce

You cannot go wrong with anything made by Golden. I, as an artist, have used all kinds of gel mediums, and this is by far the best one. It works well on many applications, dries fast and the outcome is fantastic. Even though the product may be more expensive, if you are looking for a professional look, this is the product for you.

I bought this to highlight areas on a large still life printed on canvas. This was my first time, so I was a bit anxious. I practiced on a couple of prints I didn’t like so much before trying it on my very large print. I learned to apply the gel in layers, following brush strokes as much as possible. Thin coats dried quickly and I was able to add layers to get a good texture. It dried clear unless I left thick lines, in which case it dried white. It held peaks well. I was glad I chose the semi-gloss, because I would not have cared for a very glossy finish. I have used about half the jar and I have finished 4 small prints and I large print.

Worked great! Used it to add texture and a layer over a mural I did. 10/10. This is my second time using this brand for a mural I’ve done. Love it. A little can go a long way.

I did use this as a varnish but it's really too thick for that it goes on with brush strokes and they don't level out there are better products for final finishes.

Great mixed with a small amount water to thin out and use as under binding for acrylics. Also good to coat giclee prints for embellishing. Perhaps cheaper through art suppliers, but not being a "commercial" artist, I prefer Amazon for fast delivery and free shipping with my Prime account.

This stuff works great. Used 1 can for doing a 3D eagle puzzle and a 3D puzzle of Mount Rushmore Next thing to do is a hand print of my grandson made of metal spikes. Will let you know how that works

Worked for exactly what I wanted to accomplish. I had a copy print of a piece of artwork that I had wanted to make more like a painting. I brushed this on to make it appear as an original painting. It added texture brush strokes to it. Dries on clear. Looks great. Very happy with this product. I will do this to more of my artwork.
