This is a great lock and works well with the ring security system. You have to have the ring security system, not just the doorbell to get this to work. This was easy to install and very easy to add to my ring security system by following the on screen directions. Rekeying the lock to my personal key was simple and takes 5 seconds to do. You can lock/unlock using your ring app. You can also connect it to Alexa and have it unlock/lock using that, although you do have to give it a code through alexa or it won't work. You can also set it up to do automation(automatically disarm your alarm system when you unlock the lock), which is a feature we decided not to use and you can use Alexa routines with this lock as well.The only negative I have about this lock is that it is pretty loud when it automatically locks on it's own. Loud enough where you can hear it a couple rooms away. Not a big deal, but that was something I wasn't anticipating. Not a big enough issue to hurt the review, still giving this 5 stars.

I have used this lock with my smart home system. It was easy to connect to the smart home hub and program pin codes.I also can note that it works without a smart home hub and pin codes can be programmed by following the instructions.The batteries last for about a half a year to a year depending on your door traffic. I had three people using the door and had to replace them every six months.It was easy to install in place of the existing deadbolt. You may need something to expand the hole in your door frame if needed. I didn't have a chisel on hand and used a sharp flathead screwdriver. You will need a drill to screw in the new deadbolt plate into the door frame as chances are it will not line up with your existing one.

We ordered three of these locks to install on a vacation rental property with the intention of connecting them to our Ring system. Ultimately, we are now able to control and monitor lock activity from our phones (huge plus!) but that was only after a few hours of trouble shooting. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 locks were factory set for the 'opposite side' and the instructions do not provide adequate information about changing the direction of the mechanical rotation. In other words, my husband had to do some digging to determine how to reconfigure the locks so that we could install them with the keypad facing the exterior of the door and the lock itself actually rotating toward the door frame (as opposed to the interior of the door). This process was lengthy and frustrating and certainly not anticipated on a short time frame for installation. To add to the frustration, we discovered that one of the locks arrived with a disconnected internal wire and the lock itself would not engage or move. Thanks to YouTube, we were finally able to resolve the issues. For anyone purchasing to use with a Ring system, we did have to move our base and extender around a bit so that all 3 locks were within communicable distance (which was MUCH shorter than we expected), but by the end of the day, we got them working. We are able to create unique codes and can determine which codes open certain doors. This comes in handy when our renters are only authorized to access certain areas within our home. I appreciate that we can monitor activity, battery level and jams from our phone - gives us peace of mind and allows for contactless entry of guests, cleaners, and maintenance. I do recommend this product and would purchase again, but I caution any consumer to be patient and expect potential setbacks as you go about installation and connection to a smart system.

I’ve bought at least 5 of these to use in our homes . Encountered my first one at a condo in Florida on vacation. Came back and started using them on my homes love them so much easier than fiddling with keys. The higher end version of this lock can be connected to your alarm system.

I installed 3 of these in a new house after having installed 3 others in another house. The install is pretty easy BUT, make sure you didn't get a defective unit. Specifically, when you get it, check all the parts, carefully, before beginning your install. The thumblatch (interior knob) must be lined up correctly with the triangle on the inside of the cover facing up (see picture). If it is not, the knob won't line up with the locking latch. The lock cannot be installed if this isn't aligned correctly. You don't want to discover this AFTER you are more than halfway through your install.2 out of 3 locks had this issue but a quick return and replacement by Amazon solved the problem.Functionally, the lock is great and we have it tied into our Smart Things hub in both houses. Batteries last a good amount of time (6+ months) with constant use and we change ours when we set the clocks for DST and change out our smoke detector batteries.Also, these can easily be rekeyed so that they are all keyed alike to match any other locks you might have.

I bought these to replace some touchscreen locks that had trouble staying on when it was cold out. Since these are physical buttons, that's no longer and issue, and we can do them with gloves on! Install was super simple. I didn't even need the instructions for the second one. Re-keying the locks was much easier than anticipated and we love that they both work with 1 key. Unfortunately, they don't work with our Abode alarm system, even though both are ZWave Plus. This is not the lock's fault, but an issue with Abode. We haven't had them "stick" at all, unlike our old lock where you had to take some pressure off the door for them to fully retract. The only downside is that the motors are quite loud.

The install takes no time at all, learning it to alarm.com is even easier when pairing to the panel, and so far has been working to perfection. Will be looking to get 1 more shortly for the last door, truly a 'must have' in today's keyless world.

Order arrived on time, the lock was was easy to install and works really well so far. It looks great against my door and makes getting into the house so much more convenient that fumbling with keys.

Showed up quickly, relatively easy to install and works great with the Ring and Alexa set up. Only minor change I'd like to see would be if it auto locked when the alarm system was armed.
